Sayulita Supper Club: Sueños Dining Experience Review
We had the pleasure of being served the most beautiful dining experience at Sueños Creative Cuisine & Cocktails in Sayulita. It began with an introduction to Chef Andrea who carefully explained each dish he served us with meticulous precision, his passion for culinary art and his presence in the kitchen are most definitely displayed in the food.
We started with a fresh dorado ceviche, fish laminates, peach, red onion and fennel layed on a beetroot, coconut reduction topped with cilantro oil and served with sweet potato chips.
We then tried the new duck dish, confit duck leg, brussel sprout leaf, and baby corn, bathed in a Thai red curry coconut mole sauce. We loved the combination of Mexican mole flavors with the curry sauce served with the duck! The cocktail that we had with this dish was a passionfruit tequila concoction that was bursting with flavor.
This next dish was an absolute crowd-pleaser, a fluffy charcoal fried dough topped with an Italian basil sauce, topped with creamy burrata, and white anchovies. The dough was beautifully light, and the saltiness of the anchovies brought a delightful balance to the burrata.
The chicken & “Wruffle dish” stole my heart. A waffle layered with shards of watermelon and perfectly crispy fried chicken then dotted with a truffle sauce and a light, spicy salsa.
To top it all off we were offered not one, but two mouth-watering desserts. Believe me, the top buttons of our pants were undone by this point but there was no resisting the sweet treats Chef Andrea had prepared.First came a beautifully creamy pannacotta, topped with a cinnamon berry compote with shards of honeycomb on top. Next came the impressive chocolate salami; a balance of deep cacao flavors with creamy mascarpone orange cream.
After 4 delicious plates, 3 cocktails, and 2 desserts, we kindly thanked Andrea for his time, his beautiful food and presence, and rolled on home to bed. My last words… there are no words to describe the deliciousness, chefs kiss!
