The Location

Casa Mar is located along the Avenida del Palmar in Sayulita’s more relaxed North Beach neighborhood of private homes, with access to expansive, sun-drenched beaches, running trails and great walks. Just a 6 minute stroll to town, Casa Mar boasts an easy, safe, and flat walk to and from the vibrant nightlife, bustling restaurants and busy shopping boutiques of El Centro. There are also plenty of great restaurants just 2 minutes away.

The Grounds:

The 2,650 sq. feet of beautifully designed gardens and grounds of Casa Mar are completely walled for privacy and security. Immerse yourself in the lush garden landscape that surrounds your private lagoon style, solar-warmed (heat dependent on sun/cloud cover), saltwater (no chemicals) pool, spacious sun deck and outdoor dining palapa. Swaying palms, gardens of cactus, fragrant frangipani and exotic flowers create a lush tropical backdrop for fun, relaxation and entertaining. Relax in the shaded hammock, dine under the twinkle of star lights or submerse yourself in the cobalt blue water of the pool, there’s nothing this close to the all sand beach that is more rewarding. 

The following outside amenities are provided to our guests; pool and beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, children's beach/pool toys and ice chests.

1st Floor Living Area:

The first-floor living area of Casa Mar is designed to enhance the open air lifestyle of the property and includes a spacious living area, family dining area, over-sized kitchen, guest bath, entry foyer, and huge palapa for relaxation or dining. Thoughtfully decorated and carefully maintained to include all the conveniences for a family vacation, the 1st floor living area is the heart of this unique vacation home. Easily prepare meals with all the conveniences of home including stainless steel appliances, cookware and serving dishes for 12. Just don’t let the amazing garden and pool views distract you. Enjoy meals in the dining area with seating for 6 or venture outside under the palapa with outdoor grills and seating for an additional 6. TV, a lending library filled with books, movies, and music. WIFI Internet is accessible throughout the house.

2nd Floor Bedrooms:

Each of the bedroom suites on the second floor is an air-conditioned large corner suite with windows on two walls, terraces, and ceiling fans. Sleep well in these beautifully decorated rooms filled with traditional Mexican charm, 400 count bed linens, pillow-top mattresses, and oversized pillows. The master king suite includes an ensuite bath, beautiful terrace views with seating and oversized, arched windows for abundant light. The queen suite includes a terrace with views of the gardens and pool, also with oversized windows and doors. The 3rd suite is set with twin beds that can be converted to a king bed upon request and includes a shared terrace with views of the gardens and pool.

The queen and twin suites share a second-floor bath with an open-air shower of beautifully decorated and handcrafted Talavera tile with prima vera wood accents that peek at waving palms fronds which beckon your return to the garden below. Each of the bathrooms includes Egyptian cotton bath and hand towels as well as hairdryers.

3rd Floor Terrace and Rooftop Palapa:

Ascend the stairs from the second story to the garden terrace on the third floor and venture to the rooftop palapa suspended 50' above the gardens below. Your Crow’s Nest palapa includes comfortable seating for 7, a ceiling fan, and unique overhead star light illumination. With sweeping views of the ocean, Sayulita village and Punta Sayulita it’s a perfect spot to start or end your day.

The Staff:

We love our staff and trust that you will be provided with same kindness they’ve shown to us over the last 10 years as the Casa transformed magically into what it is today. The staff comes every other day for housekeeping and gardening.  For an extra charge they can cook or do your laundry for you (ask for details).  The casa, gardens, and pool are maintained regularly to ensure an optimal vacation experience.

Upon arrival, the property manager/concierge Eric Steinman will provide all the necessary information for a pleasant and carefree vacation experience.
