An interview with Fer provides a deeper insight into the yoga community of Sayulita and how her life as a yogi began.
- What inspired you to start your business?
My grandmother was a pioneer in my town for yoga, and from the age of 12 I have practiced this wonderful art of Yoga. Life has taken me through different paths but within me flowed the constant desire to be able to share the practice of yoga with others. So after a lot of effort and time, I was able to get certified and start teaching my practice.
- What is your process for creating customized services for your yogi clients?
The first step is communication with the client. I ask them if they ever practice yoga, if they have any injuries, or if they desire to work on something special. From there, I feel inspired to create the practice tailored towards that individual.
- What services do you provide while sharing your practice?
My main service is to meet the needs of the client, and then I provide the necessary material for the practice, music, and essential oils. I can teach the class in 2 languages; English and Spanish.
- What can guests expect in the experience?
I want my clients to live an experience where they can feel themselves; a space for relaxation and comfort without expectations
- Can you share a memorable happy client story?
A month ago, I was hired for a private class with eight beautiful women who shared a bachelorette party. They arrived in great spirits, and I dedicated the class with some beautiful words for the future bride. I also dedicate the practice with the intention of creating a new space, or a new home. In an hour and a half of class they cried, laughed, many photos were taken, and we all really had a beautiful time. The future bride felt really honored.
- How long have you been in operation?
Here in Sayulita, I have been teaching now for 10 months. Before moving to Sayulita, I taught classes in Argentina and Spain for several years.
- What have been your professional experiences in Sayulita?
My experiences here were always very beautiful. The clients who come to Sayulita really allow you to work in a friendly and relaxed way.
- What are your favorite aspects of Sayulita?
Its nature, the simplicity of walking without time, and the amount of beautiful moments it provides you.
- What does your business offer that separates it from the rest?
Dedication and generating a bond with the unforgettable moment. I offer my full attention to the client’s need to flow in a yoga practice and also offer a space to heal, strengthen and balance the body, mind and soul.
- What is your background in the field?
My experience is constantly being created thanks to the people who come to share a yoga practice with me. So far my experience is incredible. Always I feel luckily with beautiful reviews.
- Any other information you would like to add?
The challenges within this small company that I am creating every day make me very happy.
Fer is continually learning through courses and personal practices to grow and to be able to offer the knowledge of this beautiful challenge that is yoga to the community and visitors of Sayulita. Take part in a practice that culminates a deep sense of mindfulness, self-connection, and ease.
