Hi! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am a person who loves adventure and exploring places. I really enjoy being close to nature, I have a lot of energy, and I love spending time with people who appreciate nature.
How did you first land in Sayulita?
My family arrived in Sayulita in 1991 from Mazatlán, when I was just 1 year old. We lived in Pascuarito in a little house in the jungle. That’s where my love for exploring was born. My grandparents had lived in Sayulita many years before, and my parents loved it here and wanted us to grow up here.
What about Sayulita inspired you to stay and start your business here?
I love Sayulita for being a peaceful town, with many beautiful places to explore, stunning beaches, lush vegetation, and a positive energy that is hard to explain. There are so many incredible spots to discover if you take the time to explore.
How did you get into doing hiking tours?
One of the main reasons I love it here is for the exercise, keeping my body healthy, and my deep respect for nature. I enjoy discovering new places, influenced by the stories my father and the elders used to tell me. I wanted my friends to experience these places I love, and for visitors to Sayulita to see a part of it that is very special to me.
Would you say that the summer is the most beautiful time of the year to book a tour with you?
Definitely, one of the reasons is the rain, when the landscape becomes incredible, everything turns green, more alive. There’s more flora and fauna. The sea looks amazing. It’s a great time for hiking in Sayulita.
What kind of flora and fauna can someone expect to see on a tour?
Birds (parrots, falcons, pelicans, woodpeckers, and seagulls), iguanas, badgers, crabs, butterflies, palm trees, parotas, fig trees, chamomiles, paper flowers, castor oil plants, ceibas, and more.
What about your services sets you apart from others?
I have good communication skills, I know the area where I grew up very well. I love adventure and I’m very energetic, which makes the experience more enjoyable.
What can a client expect when booking with you?
I hope they love nature and have respect for it. I hope they enjoy adventure, physical activities, and want to have a beautiful experience together with me. Also, they should have a lot of energy and a desire to learn about this beautiful culture.
What kind of services do you provide?
Hiking to Playa Mal Pasos north of Sayulita, hiking to San Pancho through jungle and beach, to the south of Sayulita to Playa Pascuarito between jungle and beach, Carricitos Beach. Also, hiking to Cerro del Mono near Higuera Blanca, all provide beautiful experiences with many incredible viewpoints.
Any client memories in Sayulita you can share with us?
Once, we went to Playa Mal Pasos and found a beautiful viewpoint there, so we stopped to take some photos. From there, you could see the sea and we spotted some fish jumping. They turned out to be dolphins passing by the beaches of Sayulita; there were so many and it looked amazing from the top of the viewpoint. A very beautiful experience.
