Early Bird Tickets Running Out for 2025 Sand & Strings Music Festival
By Charlie Higgins
If you’ve driven past the big billboard at the entrance of Sayulita or spotted posters around town, you already know—Sand & Strings Music Festival is back for its second year! We’ve put together an incredible lineup, featuring headliners The California Honeydrops and The Brothers Comatose (playing two sets) from the Bay Area, Paté de Fuá and Los Rumberos from Mexico City, and El Kanka from Spain.
This two-day festival, taking place March 15–16, will be held at the Estadio de Béisbol, home of Sayulita’s minor league baseball team, Los Jaibos, right in the heart of downtown. We’re teaming up with carefully selected vendors to bring you local cuisine, high-quality goods and crafts, and all sorts of fun merch. Expect plenty of surprises in line with this year’s baseball theme—and, of course, fantastic entertainment for the whole family from 2:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Kids under 8 get in free!
One of the biggest changes this year—besides the new venue—is the introduction of the MyCashless event payment platform. Attendees can download a free app or purchase a bracelet with a chip for 20 pesos, which can be loaded with funds via credit card or cash for purchases throughout the weekend. This offers major benefits in terms of security—since there will be very little cash floating around—and helps keep lines short. Guests can even add funds to their digital wallets before arriving at the festival.
Word has gotten out, and our discounted early bird tickets have been selling fast—but if you’re just hearing about the festival, there are still a few left! Our local government sponsors—Bahía de Banderas Ayuntamiento, Estado de Nayarit, Riviera Nayarit, and Visit Nayarit—have been instrumental in helping us make the right connections to keep building our community. This is a festival for everyone, and to ensure as many people as possible can attend, we’re offering a 50% discount for permanent residents of Sayulita.
