Casa Quetzal in Sayulita offers one of the best views in town! The home is tucked into tropical forests in Sayulita's northern hills; The Pacific Ocean and a sea breeze are constant companions. Mini Split AC recently added in each of the bedrooms. The roof is one big terraza, with hammocks and a barbeque to enjoy wonderful star gazing and great whale watching from November through May. The views of Sayulita and sunsets are just amazing from here!
On the next level down is the main floor boasting a well-equipped kitchen, dining room, and living room, all in one generous open space, with doors that open up all the way to three sides to enjoy the fresh air and breathtaking views. From this expansive view, you can see the village of Sayulita, San Pancho, and even the three 'Islas Marias' on a clear day. The kitchen is simple, with granite counter-tops, breakfast bar, fridge, and stove and fully equipped with what you need for dining the comfort of Casa Quetzal in Sayulita.
Three bedrooms are downstairs each with King size beds, A/C and amazing ocean views. The master bedroom has a view of the ocean, hillside, and wild jungle. The master bedroom also has its own bathroom and private terrace. The other two bedrooms on this floor also have king size beds share a shower and a toilet, but each have their own sink and closet area and each open up to views of the ocean and sky. New sliding screen doors made from local parota wood were installed in November, 2019. The fourth bedroom has a single bed, is on the lower level but opens up to a large patio and views to the sea. We provide mosquito netting for all beds. There is a washer and dryer available and use can be coordinated with Abel and housekeeping.
There is one garden bedroom with a twin bed. Please note there is not A/C in this bedroom.
Casa Quetzal in Sayulita is surrounded by the garden, flowers, and fruit trees bearing papayas, bananas, grapefruit, limes, oranges and grenada apples, and several small patios sprinkled about with hammocks or small tables with chairs for extra private corners.
Guests can enjoy Casa Quetzal's salt-water pool (4x7 meters) with patio overlooking the ocean and pool shower. Maid service is offered 3 days a week and a caretaker is in charge of the pool and garden. More services available if requested. Please note there is no AC but plenty of ceiling fans and a pool for cooling off. With fresh ocean breezes, air conditioning is not needed for much of the year. Please note as with most homes in Sayulita there is no fence around the pool and the home is high on a hill with balconies. For these reasons, Casa Quetzal may not be suitable for young children.

Short (but steep!) walk down to the beach. Abel will recommend a golf cart rental to cut down on the walking time if desired.
We hired a private chef for one evening who came up to our house and prepared a meal for all seven of us and included the fresh bonita and mackerel we caught on our fishing trip earlier that day.
The rooms were comfortable and the mini-splits are great.
Altogether an unforgettable experience, and such a great casa to enjoy Sayulita from.
The rooftop was the chef's kiss on looking over the ocean. There was plenty of room for the five of us to enjoy. Yes, we did have the golf carts as suggested, but we also did the walk down and back to town, which though challenging, was fun. The days we were there to celebrate my daughter's wedding went by too quickly. I highly suggest Jamie's house, as for us, was close to town, and to the villa where the wedding was held. We will be back to Sayulita!
