Sajeela recaps the progress of the Villa Amor case.
The report from Alberto Székely to the Association for the Protection of the Future of Sayulita, A. C. regarding the case of Rodney Ingram and his illegal 6-floor tower in Sayulita was received and read to the group. This report will sent out to the members of the association via email. (See Attachment)
The website for the Association for the Protection of Sayulita is currently being prepared. It is still a work in progress, but can be viewed at www.savesayulita.org. Thank you Ken, Cyndy, and the Information Committee for your hard work!
The letter from the hydrogeologist, Mark Utting, was read to the group. The letter detailed the desperate situation regarding the water supply and water contamination issues in Sayulita and urged immediate action. This letter can be found on the www.savesayulita.org website.
A number of individual issues were brought up regarding the building bylaw infractions, sewage issues, and concerns regarding overcrowding and lack of infrastructure (especially regarding the upcoming Semana Santa). Please send all information regarding sewage, water, etc. to Savesayulita@hotmail.com and Jodi will work on preparing memorandums for Dr. Szekely.
We strive to be a proactive association. The general county Development Plan will be up for review in June. This is why it is necessary to work with Dr. Szekely to organize a strong case and work towards making these changes for the good of Sayulita.
Dr. Szekely requires $5,000 per month to continue his work for the Association for the Protection of Sayulita. We urge you to make a donation as there is to date an outstanding balance owing to Dr. Szekely.
Donations information: (to be provided soon in a separate e-mail)
We will be arranging a General Association Meeting with Dr. Szekely during the first week in April. We will be sending out the date via email and hope you can attend.
This was an excellent turnout and we are very encouraged by everyone’s participation! Thank you all for your support!
We will be meeting again
