ESAU is captivating talented and generous

I asked Esau to join a ZOOM party here in Canada. He played a few beautiful songs and chatted with us. I reached out via this website. It was easy to organize and he was very generous with his sharing of talent. A little Mexico escape online. My group of friends adored him. Look forward to meeting him when we make it south. Esaú Galván Saltos was born in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Nayarit, Mexico. At 13 he began studying with a gentleman in his home town who knew some guitar. Esaú rapidly outgrew what he could teach him and moved on to the rigorous study of classical guitar. He then met Wolfgang (Lobo) Fink recently arrived from Bavaria after a successful career in Europe spreading the joy of flamenco puro and began studying with him. Lobo had lived with gypsies and studied with them in Granada and the South of France. His was a more hands on approach which greatly enriched Esaú’s technique. Galván listened to recordings of Lobo’s flamenco music gleaning all he could from them. While he continued his studies with various maestros in Guadalajara with his young friends he formed a group called Quisco. They performed cumbias, rock n’ roll, bossa nova, assorted styles of music; during their prepa years. They then formed the group Tatewari and Esaú went on to Tepic to study music and guitar at the university. During that time he traveled at least once a month to study flamenco guitar with Maestro Fernando Martinez Macias in Guadalajara. After receiving his degree in 2010, he did three months of further study with Maestro Martinez in Guadalajara. Returning to La Cruz, he rededicated his time to Tatewari. In 2011 Esau was fortunate to be able to travel to Spain to study at the prestigious Academia Cañarroto del Entri in Madrid where he furthered his skills in flamenco guitar also visiting Granada to get a first hand view of the authentic flamenco puro. Esaú has an excellent reputation as a solo guitarist, playing Spanish guitar, flamenco, and other genres for weddings, private parties and events. He composes his own themes as well as those for the group Tatewari and has an extensive repertoire to offer. His talent is illustrated in his videos as well as the 4 CDs with the band. Whether your needs are for a formal performance or more laid back music, Esau will provide a wonderful experience for you and your guests.
