Description

Casa de la Vida in Sayulita guarantees it's guests a vacation as unique and memorable as the house itself. You are invited to relax in an unparalleled tranquil environment offering the most breath-taking views of the Sayulita Bay, surrounding mountains and jungle. We are the last house before the jungle, so unlike many areas in town, it is quiet here. A pool, air conditioning, extreme privacy, and proximity to the north end beach are just a few of the many assets guests of Casa de la Vida enjoy during a most memorable vacation in paradise.

The pools (kiddie and adult) are located just steps from the veranda with comfortable lounge chairs for perfect siestas.A huge veranda (with a hanging bed) provides great shade during the day. The house is perfect for those wishing to visit the village of Sayulita, just north of Puerto Vallarta, yet also desire the exclusiveness offered by the town's "North End" neighborhood.

House amenities include beach chairs, an umbrella, outside shower, and a complete kitchen.  Azucena, the housekeeper, will have arranged fresh Sayulita flowers upon your arrival and will clean the house every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Azucena can also do personal laundry upon request as well as prepare meals for you at an extra fee.  Casa de la Vida has a gas BBQ (Weber) for your use .

Beach access is a 2-minute walk down a cobblestone lane and a beautifully landscaped trail. Guests can either walk the road (mostly flat!) or the beach to the village center, located about 15 minutes away by foot. The Sayulita beach in front of the house is perfect for surf casting and guests with an adventurous spirit will be amazed by the trails through the virgin jungle situated just minutes from the house. You can walk through the jungle to the isolated beach that lies between Sayulita and San Pancho.( Playa Malpasos)

The terrace is where you will find yourself each day, whether it is coffee, yoga, siestas, dancing, stargazing, Internet, reading or visiting.  It is outdoor living at its best!  Then on the terrace each evening as the sun sets into the ocean you will be drawn to celebrate the end of yet another memorable Sayulita day.

Bedroom Layout:

  • 1 king-size bed in the south master suite with A/C and private garden bath with Sayulita bay view (has 4in Novaform Gel memory foam)
  • 1 king and one twin in the north master suite with A/C and enormous private garden bath
  • 2 single beds which can be made up as a King right next to 3/4 bath off the living area

A wonderful stay!
We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is a beautiful casa in a quiet, safe, residential part of Sayulita. The view is spectacular and the rooms (and beds) are very comfortable. The bedrooms have both ceiling fans and A/C and you will be lulled asleep by the sound of the nearby surf. The rockwork and vegetation in the ensuites are awesome! It is safe to drink the water from the kitchen taps and bottled water is also provided. We spent most of our casa time (including meals) on the lovely covered terrace adjacent to the pool. For those unable to live without the internet, there is both wifi and Netflix. For those who remember a time before email, there is a collection of books as well as games to enjoy.

It is a 2-3 minute walk to the northern stretch of Sayulita's gorgeous beach which is quiet, clean, and considerably less busy than the main surfing area. Two beach access trails are nearby. There is also a pool at the casa for those wanting a freshwater float. For those wanting action, the village center is about a 15 minute walk - either along the beach or Av. del Palmar.

Anita was a very welcoming, helpful, and generous host. She is fluent in Spanish (and English) and provided a wonderful orientation of Sayulita and the surrounding area. She had arranged a meal for our arrival and also found us an Uber driver that would drive us from/to the airport for less than the standard commercial rates.

Thank you Anita!

Incredible Location!
I just spent time at Casa de la Vida for the 8th year in a row. The huge veranda with the sunset views and lovely pool always take my breath away. The beds are so comfortable and the rooms are very spacious. I love the open kitchen concept. I will continue staying here every year. The manager is extremely helpful and the owner Anita is always quick to return my queries and offer suggestions if I have questions.

Everything was amazing!
Beautiful view. Easy location to walk downtown although renting a golf cart is a good idea. Easy access to beach. Housekeeper Azucena made us a delicious first night meal. Easy and quick responses from manager and owner when needed. House is comfortable, clean and has all you will need. Air conditioning in rooms works great and only needed for a couple of hours before bed. Hope to return sometime soon. Thank you Anita, Azucena and Miguel.

10/10 Recommend
We had a wonderful time at this property! It's very private but easy to get to, other than the steep driveway - but we mastered that as well. I would reccommend a car or golf cart, the 20 somethings were fine walking to and from town but us older people wouldn't have wanted to do that. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with all of the basics. The staff were very sweet and Anita was great with getting us all of the details. Thanks so much!

Loved the location!
Casa de la Vida was awesome! We enjoyed the indoor/outdoor living and the amazing view. Rented a golf cart a couple days and that made getting to town and beach easier. Great location for less crowds but access to great surf beach. I would only say the kitchen could use a good deep clean and an appliance update but we felt fine cooking each day. Overall would love to rent again!

Wonderful home on the north (quiet) side of town
We stayed here with three teen sons for 9 days in July and had an exceptional first trip to Sayulita. The host, Anita, is super responsive to questions and support if needed. She recommended Sayulita Suburban for transport to and from PV and for golf cart rental which worked out great for us. As the home is at the far end of town it's a nice, but not totally necessary, convenience. Walking on the beach or the road parallel takes around 15-20 minutes to access downtown. The beach is accessible by a short path from the house and is lightly used. If you want to surf you'll need to head to the main beach in town. Casa de la Vida has a very open floor plan and beautiful tiled porch facing the pool and backyard spaces. The living room and kitchen completely open to the porch with large French doors. As the house is literally on the edge of the jungle be prepared for LOTS of geckos and moths all over the property. We left the French doors open the first night and chased a coati out of the kitchen who was pilfering our bananas. The summer in Sayulita is hot and humid! Fortunately, each bedroom has an air conditioner and the ability to close the room down to take advantage of the cool air. Anita can set up the housekeeper, Azucena, to make you an amazing meal for a reasonable price. I could go on and on - Highly recommend!

Found the best place
Stop searching and book this casa. The pictures don't do justice to this beautiful home. There is great beach access and the location is very quiet and relaxing, at the end of town. I highly recommend renting a golf cart if you plan to grab a late-night bite since it is a mile away from town's Plaza, but that's the fun about it!!! The beds were perfect and make sure to have Azucena cook for you - she is the best!

Loved it
The house was incredible, I mean really beautiful as you know. I can't say anything negative about it. I liked being away from town, it was so quiet. Honestly I can't wait to go back

Great vacation
This house is perfect with a lot of character. The views are stunning. It is about 15min from downtown walking but with some hills, so you will need to rent a car or a golf car if you can't do long walks. On the other hand, the night is very quiet, Sayulita has a lot of nightlife so it's a nice sanctuary where it's nice to rest at the end of the day. The beach is walking distance, just some steps down, and less busy than in downtown. The pool is great, and in general the house is perfect. We had two small issues and were solved in a timely manner by Miguel. We definitely want to go back.
