Chef Cecilia Mendicuti in Sayulita is a private chef & recipe writer, who specializes in cutomized menu development. She takes great pleasure in the opportunity to create vibrant, delicious & nourishing meals using high quality local & tropical seasonal ingredients. She particularly enjoys bringing traditional Mexican food practices to her meals.

Chef Mendicuti has extensive experience and worked in Sayulita & Riviera Nayarit for 8 years as a private chef in the professional restaurant industry, traveling throughout the Riviera. She considers her nomadic-chef lifestyle to have played a pivotal role in developing her eclectic & adventurous food aesthetic, as well as her bold & colorful palette; having been profoundly influenced by the Mexican food and culture she has explored over the years.

When she is not developing menus, creating new recipes, or hosting a private client dinner, she enjoys rambling in the jungle and woods for a cache of wild boletes & thimbleberries.

Great service & delicious food

THE BEST CATERER IN SAYULITA!

My family (11 adults and 6 kids) still talk about the food Chef Cecilia and her crew prepared for us! The tortilla soup was the best any of us have ever had and we were fighting over the leftovers the next day. Chef Cecilia and her crew were so attentive, on time, kind, handled our dietary restrictions flawlessly, and cleaned up so the kitchen looked better then before they arrived. I can not recommend Cecilia enough and can't wait to return to eat more of her delicious food. Thanks so much Cecilia for making our vacation meals so special and memorable

Chef Cecilia is awesome!

We celebrated my husband’s 60 birthday in Sayulita and hired Chef Cecilia Mendicuti to cook for us for two birthday events. She and her staff were amazing!!! The food was great and she went out of her way to bake a special cake for him. Thank you so much Chef Cecilia for making our stay so special.

Best decision was to book this Chef and her mighty Crew of Carmen and Leo

We booked Chef Cecilia and it was worth every peso! In advance of our trip I communicated with her to determine a menu that would accommodate my family including 2 hungry, and sometimes picky teenagers. We settled on a menu that would make everyone happy and took into account my daughter's allergies. Over our 6 night stay we booked 3 dinners and 2 breakfasts. We booked our first meal for our first night in Sayulita as we knew we would be tired from traveling--this was a pro move if I must say so myself :) I booked the other 2 dinners on days we had beach and boat excursions and I knew my crew would want to shower and eat and go to bed and not fuss with cooking of heading into town for dinner. It was a *perfect* plan and her crew the absolutely charming and delightful and talented Leo and Carmen exceeded every expectation, from asking if we wanted to eat inside or out, to filling our house with smells of homemade delicacies to even cooking the shark my son caught on his fishing day. Everything was over the top delicious and gave my family precious time to sit and talk and laugh and enjoy each others company which is exactly what I had hoped for on this last vacation before my son heads into his Sr. year of high school. I'll return home dreaming of my fresh squeezed OJ, my aqua Fresca de fresa, and the flourless chocolate cake and coconut ice cream! This little luxury touch on vacation was gave us priceless time together as a family watching the sunset over the beach. CORE MEMORIES for sure. If we ever return Chef Cecilia will be my first call!

This Chef Makes Me So Happy!!!

Chef Cecilia and her staff provided an amazing experience for me and my family! So much so that we invited her back for a second dinner! The Ceviche, Birria, French Toast, soups, oh my!!! I can’t think of anything that was not incredible. If you want an amazing culinary experience Cecilia and staff are an excellent choice!

We were so happy to have Chef Cecilia and her team make a special dinner onsite during our stay at Cinetica Estates. She was so easy to work with ahead of time, planning our delicious menu for a large group. On the evening of our meal, the team arrived, began cooking in the kitchen, served an incredible meal, and left the space spotless afterwards. We chose an incredible mushroom and cilantro soup for one of our courses - I could have had 3 more bowls! All the ingredients for the meal were local, fresh, coming together in elevated and beautiful food. Definitely connect with Chef Cecilia!

Wonderful Experience

The BEST food, and just a delightful experience.

Cecilia and her team made our trip to Sayulita feel truly decadent! She treated us to delicious food and great conversation in the comfort of our home, which was so relaxing and wonderful. With many menus to choose from, and the ability to “mix and match” to fit our family’s tastes, Cecilia truly has it all. She shopped for fresh ingredients each day for the meals we selected. We feasted on shrimp ceviche, homemade tortilla soup, mahi mahi filets, and chicken enchiladas, just to name a few. Even our children loved every bite! If you have the chance, be sure to book Cecilia for your next trip to Sayulita, you will be SO glad you did!
