Casa Upper at Amarilla's in Sayulita is designed specifically for a casually laid-back and relaxing stay. It is 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom and reflects the owners' belief that quality is always a good thing. Whether you want to tan by the pool, nap in a hammock, enjoy a cerveza under the palapas, dance under the stars or entertain friends, new and old, this private secure property has it all and you can do it in style.
The space has a completely separate entrance accessed through the lower courtyard and an exterior staircase. As you reach the top of the stairs you will enter the large, palapa-covered living area and outdoor kitchen. The patio has couches, dining table and chairs, and a charcoal barbecue, with a smoker.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a full-size fridge, 4 burner hot plate, sink, toaster, coffee maker, blender, pots, pans, dishes and everything you need to cook as little or as much as you choose. We have provided many kitchen accessories to make your stay as easy as possible, including a garlic press, cheese grater, salad spinner, vegetable peeler, good quality knife set as well as some basic spices.
The bedroom has a king-size bed, smart TV, a safe, an iron and board as well as air conditioning. There is an additional private balcony overlooking the pool. Screened windows provide a lovely breeze.
The ensuite bathroom has a large shower, plenty of bath and beach towels, a hair dryer, hand soap and makeup mirror.
Casita Amarilla is a magically perfect place for a couple, a small family, or even a larger party to comfortably enjoy the beautiful village of Sayulita Mexico. Interested in viewing our Upper Casita or need more room? We can offer 3 air-conditioned, stand alone and self sufficient vacation get-aways, you may wish to book the entire compound to escape with a larger party! Please view our 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom main house or our lower casita within the same compound.

We will provide a full refund up to 30 days prior to your arrival date. After that date, we will hold your deposit for a future visit or if we can rent the unit, we will provide a full refund less a $100.00 service fee.

This was the first time for us vacationing in Sayulita. We found the location perfect, close to town by staying in a perfect paradise. This complex is so well cared for, with great staff that took care of all our needs. We were fortunate to be there for a few days with the fantastic new owners of Casa Amarilla Peter and Hilary. They made us feel so welcome and were so accommodating.
It had everything we needed, very clean with a very comfy bed :)
Can't say enough about the place....we can't wait to go back!

Peter and Hillary were exceptional hosts as were his staff!
The huge outdoor space upstairs was great for family dinners and watching the sunrise with our morning coffee.
The casita itself was large, spacious and clean.
The kitchen was fully equipped with all amenities.

We loved it♥️
It began with my son and his wife renting the largest unit. Next my daughter and myself checked in to a main floor suite and finally another daughter and son-in-law rented an upper unit. It was paradise!! No loud music (which we had put up with downtown), the most comfortable beds, a fully equiped kitchen, wonderfully helpful housekeeper and grounds keeper, a large, clean pool, an outdoor kitchen where we could have family dinners, and best of all------- a most accomodating host willing to try and make your stay as good as possible.
When another son-in-law arrived, I moved to the small unit that had been used by the host when he was there. There was a bedroom with bath and a spacious outdoor area with kitchen.
In effect, we stayed at every rental available at Peter and Hillary's. Before finding that, we stayed at hotels in the center of town for 2 1/2 weeks. Forget sleeping. They were very nice, clean and convenient but music went on until 4:00 or 5:00 a.m. We also stayed at a beautiful casita with not even a roll of paper towel or dish cloth in the kitchen and only a single pot to cook everything. Guests were not welcome.
We would have happily stayed at Casa Amarilla the entire time had we not had to move out when there were reservations booked. All of us would highly recommend this place.
