Casa Caracol in Sayulita is a unique estate that consists of a 2000-square-foot home that accommodates a maximum of six guests, including children. The pool and palapa area are great for sun lovers and the shade for siestas under the palapa. There are ample lounge chairs and couches for everyone.

Renowned local architect, Estela Mendoza, completed Casa Caracol in the summer of 1998. Its unique nautilus shell design provides extensive views of the village, ocean and jungle while at the same time offering guests the utmost amount of privacy. Morning sun, midday siestas, afternoon breezes, and night-time events in the village plaza have all been taken into account during the construction phase. The estate is completely gated for added security. The beautiful Casa Caracol is the perfect setting for your family vacation or a romantic, luxurious getaway for two.
The upstairs bedrooms are accessed by an outdoor stairway up to three bedrooms.The master suite in the main house is on the second level. Here you will find a king-sized bed for a long comfortable sleep, plus an ensuite washroom. Blackout curtains on windows for those who like to sleep in.
The 2nd bedroom has a queen-size bed. Black out draperies. The third bedroom has 2 single beds (bunkbeds). Black out drapes as well.
Each of the bedrooms and the living & dining room has A/C; in the master bedroom and living area, the A/C is thermostatically controlled with the compressor located on the roof. The upstairs rooms are designed for families and share a spacious bathroom. There are no bath tubs.
Downstairs, the chef in your group will be delighted with the updated American-style kitchen that offers everything necessary to prepare a feast, including a double oven. There is a microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, ample cookware, and dinnerware. We supply purified water and icecubes from the fridge and also there will be a garaphone of purified water available on the counter top in the kitchen. There is outdoor dining in the back terrace with a gas bbq for the maestro in the group. There is a large table with chairs for 6 people to dine.
The formal dining room opens up to a grand living room with high ceilings, ceiling fans, and comfortable furniture, with a full bath adjacent. Furnished with sofa, armchairs,. There is a television but there is no cable channels. There is a fire stick available in the drawer under the tv.
Beautiful Gardens and Great Views
Caracol’s full time gardener maintains the largest private garden in Sayulita. The pool and palapa area has lounge chairs and comfy furniture under the palapa, a great spot for a siesta or evening drinks. In the summer rainy season, it's a great spot to watch the thunderstorms. Guests can view 10-15 miles in either direction, including the spectacular Pacific Ocean crashing against the cliffs of San Francisco (San Pancho) to the north. The casa has Sayulita Wifi and it is great for those who must stay connected.
Casa Caracol strives to attract those who want to come and enjoy Sayulita and have a relaxing quality vacation. This is not a party house, absolutely no parties allowed. Please no smoking in the house or at the pool.
Accommodations for Young Children
For those with small children, the main house offers a gated grassy yard, and the pool is surrounded by secure wrought-iron railings. We do not suggest children going off on their own to walk the many pathways. If children are using the pool, the must be attended by an adult.
