Description

Villas Colibri in Sayulita . Built and designed by renowned local architect Estella Gayosso Mendoza the property boasts three large studios with lovely gardens, a shared pool with a large outdoor kitchen/BBQ area. The Villa's common areas provide ample room for guests to spread out with multiple seating and lounging areas with a stunning ocean view.

Three private villas are perfect for groups of friends up to 6 or three couples traveling together. Enjoy the privacy of your own villa while easily being able to spend time with your group in the communal spaces.

Villa Girasol, is our top floor large, bright and airy studio with plenty of privacy and incredible ocean views. Enjoy the lovely sound of the Villa's waterfall while watching a beautiful sunset as you sip a margarita on your private terrace overlooking all of Sayulita. Villa Girasol has a King Size bed, bath, A/C, kitchenette, and accommodates two adults.

Villa Gardenia, located on the second floor is equally bright and airy offering privacy and the same incredible ocean views as our top floor unit. Villa Gardenia has a King size bed, bath, A/C, kitchenette and accommodates two adults.

Villa Orquida, our most private studio, located one level down from the pool area, offers a secluded patio and jungle view. Enjoy your private jungle patio or join poolside with a view overlooking all of Sayulita! Villa Oquida can be set up with two individual beds, or be made up together as a King. There is A/C, bath, kitchenette, and accommodates two adults.

Guest access to shared spaces
The communal garden, chemical free salt water pool and outdoor kitchen/BBQ area are shared by the studios and a great place to hang out, swim, get some sun or grill up something tasty in the outdoor poolside kitchen.

Interaction with guests
Jose Luis Caselin, the property manager at Villas Colibri, will be in touch prior to your arrival to assist with any services you might need such as airport taxi, golf cart rentals, in house massage, etc.. He will be there to greet you and familiarize you with the property upon your arrival. He is available during your stay for assistance and services as needed.

Other things to note
Villas Colibri are located up a hill so there are amazing views from every room. Guests who have a hard time walking up hill might want to consider a golf cart for their stay.

Very clean, beautiful, and peaceful!

And a lovely pool and views!! We had a chill and super comfortable girls trip here. The area is safe (although steep) and all of our concerns were exceptionally cared for by Jose and team. I highly recommend staying here.

Book this place!!! Amazing accommodations and experience.

Our entire experience was unbeatable and we can't wait to return. Even before booking, Julie the manager was responsive and helpful. She recommended a car service from the PV airport which made getting to and from completely hassle free. When we arrived and during our stay, Jose Luis was incredibly welcoming, graciously shared local recommendations and helped us book a golf cart (more on the cart later). The very kind owner, Estela, lives on the property next door and was around if we had any urgent needs but was unobtrusive. The space was absolutely incredible. The grounds are covered in lush native plants and the pool and patio overlooked the ocean. The whole place has a very natural aesthetic and the pictures don't do it justice. The views from each of the top two rooms were also equally amazing. There was every amenity we could have needed including beach towels, water, sunscreen, cooking utensils, etc. The beds were very comfortable and the way the rooms and living space are set up is perfect for couples or extended families who want privacy at times but also enjoy some communal spaces. Amazing experience!

We have been to Sayulita several times and this was the best place we have stayed at hands down. The view, the pool, the hospitality were all incredible! It was clean and had a super comfortable king bed! They provided sonmany extras to help make our stay more comfortable. From beach towels to sunscreen..... this place had it all!

Beautiful, comfortable, amazing villas. We can't wait to return!

Villas Colibri is a beautiful, comfortable, amazingly well-designed place! Our party of 5 adults loved every minute of our week there, spending most of our time around the pool where there are several comfortable lounging areas with an outdoor kitchen and dining area. The place has comfortable beds, quality furnishings, and well-outfitted kitchens. Everything worked and was very clean.

The patio / landscape design is so beautiful. You feel like you're in a private jungle setting, even though there are other villas really close by. There are lots of plants and pots of all sizes plus waterfalls and cool lighting...it's really a neat place! We all loved the saltwater pool and spent hours in there.

Even though we were only in our bedrooms for sleeping, it was great to have the ocean view from bed. We did have one happy hour on the top patio, which had comfortable seating and that amazing view.

We all did tons of reading and were so happy to have comfortable lounge chairs and day beds plus a hanging chair. It was a very relaxing week! Coffee by the pool, daily walks to the beach for swimming and reading, home to cool off in the pool, happy hours around the pool every afternoon with blended tropical drinks, then walks into town for dinner. We all did tons of reading and got lots of exercise from swimming and walking.

The hill is steep! It was fun to walk! We did rent a golf cart for just one day because we needed to get to a restaurant too far to walk. If you aren't fond of a short but strenuous walk, definitely get a good sturdy golf cart and someone comfortable driving on steep and uneven cobblestone and dirt roads. But really the walk is short and do-able.

We liked this end of town because the beach is much less crowded than in town and it's quiet at night.

Last but not least, the support staff at Villa Colibri was great. The gardeners and cleaners were quick and quiet and thorough. Jose Luis was responsive to our many questions and was helpful in so many ways. We were glad to meet owner Estela on one of her brief visits and got to hear the history of the place. Julie was quick to respond to our emails. Thanks all!!

Amazing host and home!

Gorgeous views, very clean and well-equipped rental. Loved the sunset and the exercise we got from walking/climbing up the road to the casita (its a good workout after a few tacos!). Julie is easy to work with and excellent communication before and during our stay. I will be back!

Five Stars all the way!

Villas Colibri was the perfect spot to vacation, quick responses from all the staff as well as tons of recommendations on banks, sightseeing etc. We felt safe and well taken care of. The grounds are stunning and the pictures do not do it justice, it should be called Shangri La, because it was heavenly! Highly recommend Villa Colibri to those considering Sayulita, the highlight was the proximity to the pristine, less populated beach. The rooms are simple, stylish and quiet, I truly felt like I was in a 5 star resort.

Everything was perfect

I was hesitant to write a review in fear that Colibri will be booked solid once people find out how amazing it is! It’s my second time and this place is just magical. Everything is absolutely perfect! The only thing which could be an issue is for elderly, handicapped, or small children is the hill. It is no joke and we were honestly worried coming up in a taxi from PVR because he didn’t know how to handle the steep hill and the car wasn’t the best. I would recommend getting dropped off at the bottom of the hill and walking up or by someone more experienced!

Amazing experience

This property is beautiful quiet and peaceful. The host was amazing and responded to everything and anything we needed. This property was sparkling clean, had amazing views, and the configuration of our unit allowed us to lie in bed, look at the sea from our perch on the hillside and listen to the waves and even see whales! The interior was really well thought out, great kitchen and lovely shower with plenty of hot water. You could take a shower with a special window that was placed in it so you can see the ocean while doing so. You can sit on your private balcony, and relax while enjoying a jaw dropping sunset. The swimming pool was heated and is designed to look like a natural pond, along with a small waterfall. The community kitchen was well equipped with all the cooking utensils you would need for a group dinner, and in the pool area. This was simply a spectacular stunning peaceful place. The walk to the beach was exactly 6 minutes. Restaurants near are within a ten-minute walk. The only challenge to this property is the extremely steep climb up the hill. We embraced the hike up hill as part of our "get in shape" program. If that's not you then taxis are available or rent a golf cart. We'd stay here again in a minute.

Our stay was incredible, didn’t want to leave. The host was extremely helpful with everything. Beautiful view, very clean, and peaceful. We rented a golf cart, would highly recommend it as it’s a little out of town and a steep hill, also it’s fun to have to tour around the town in. The host set us up with the best deal to rent a cart we could find by far. Was a little tricky to find the address when we first arrived but easy once we knew where to go. Overall would highly recommend staying here!

Villas Colibri is simply stunning and is where you need to stay in Sayulita. The view is worth the price of admission alone.But the rest of the apartment, and the communal area with pool are a dream. The walk up the hill is a little steep, but somehow adds to the experience. And did I mentioned the view!
