Casa Villa del Sol in Sayulita is an exceptionally maintained luxury hilltop home with a large private pool. It is located in the peaceful setting of the quiet north end. Villa del Sol is a 4,500 sq ft (418 sq m) home which offers three (3) private spaces. (2) two 2BR/3BA Villas and (1) one 1BR/1BA studio Casita. There are 1/2 baths off of each great room of the Villas and also a 1/2 bath in the pool area for a total of 5BRs/8BAs. Villa del Sol uniquely offers privacy and seclusion from surrounding properties yet it is within 5 minutes walking distance to the beach and 15 minutes to the town plaza.
The panoramic ocean and jungle views from Casa Villa del Sol are breathtaking! From nearly every room in the house (including the master bedrooms and bathrooms) you can enjoy incredible ocean views (and breezes) of Sayulita bay, the mountains, graceful palm groves or the lush jungle. As you enter the house, you feel that you are one with the beauty of nature because of the large windows and doors which fold open to create an indoor/outdoor tropical lifestyle. They are handcrafted from the beautifully grained native Parota wood. The living room, dining area and fully equipped kitchen of each Villa form a great room and open onto an expansive Palapa covered terrace which is large enough for your entire group to spread out. The poolside Casita has a beautiful view of the ocean, large pool and surrounding grass and garden area. As you lie in bed you can even enjoy a view of the ocean as you listen to the water cascade into the pool! You may even see whales and dolphins as they travel by. At night you can enjoy the lights of Sayulita village. During the rainy season you will be sure to enjoy the incredible lightning shows over the ocean horizon.
Villa I (2BR/3BA) is located on the upper level. Villa II (2BR/3BA) is located on the middle level. Villas I & II have a master bedroom (king bed) and second bedroom (queen bed). All of the Villa bedrooms have a large in-suite private bathroom. There is also a 1/2 guest bath off the living/great room. The Studio Casita (1BR/1BA) is located on the ground pool level and has a queen bed and in-suite bath. Each of the individual spaces of Villa I, Villa II and Casita/Pool are large enough for the entire group to congregate, yet offers private spaces for relaxation (and privacy) for group members that would prefer to hang back. There are ceiling fans in every room and air conditioning is available during the summer months in the bedrooms. It is not necessary during the rest of the year because of the nearly constant ocean breezes and pleasant temperatures.
Villa del Sol incorporates both contemporary and traditional Mexican design elements including vaulted tile and wood beam ceilings,hand crafted Parota wooden doors and windows, stove chimney,traditional brick arches,terracotta and hand painted Talavera tile. The full bathrooms have Mexican travertine countertops and showers with stone vessel sinks. The 1/2 bath has a slate countertop with a copper sink. The villas are beautifully furnished in a warm, comfortable style with hardwood tables from Indonesia, handwoven rugs and ethnic artwork and accessories by local artists.
We are happy to provide you with a portable baby crib if you are traveling with a baby or toddler.
The daily housekeeping staff (except Sundays) will be glad to help you with any concerns you may have.

Rates are per night in US$ Dollars - 3 night minimum stay - Cleaning fee of $125 per stay is "not" included in nightly rate.

Deposits: A 50% deposit is required to hold your reservation and the balance is due 45 days before you arrive.

A refundable $250 security deposit is secured upon booking. We make every attempt to return within 3 business days after checkout to allow for damage/inventory report to be completed.
A photo of a valid government issued ID is required upon booking.
Tipping of the staff, while voluntary, is customary. US$20 per week per occupied BR is recommended. For example, for a 1 week stay, all 5BRs occupied, US$100 (MXN$2,000) is recommended.
For a full 100% refund*** of the nightly rate, security deposit and cleaning fee the guest must cancel within 48 hours of booking.
Guests can cancel at least 60 days before check-in and get a 50% refund*** of the nightly rate and the cleaning fee.
If the guest cancels less than 60 days in advance, the nights not spent are not refunded.
COVID-19 Extenuating Circumstances Clause: If the guest has already checked in this clause does not apply. If a written mandatory order by a Mexican government authority deeming non-essential travel unlawful or Sayulita closed to tourism, a full 100% credit*** of the nightly rate, security deposit and cleaning fee shall be applied towards a future stay of equivalent US$ funds at the then prevailing rate. Voluntary measures shall not apply to this clause, only mandatory acts enforced by a Mexican government body applies. See Riviera Nayarit Covid-19 travel and health advisory website for latest info.

Priscilla went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, from arranging rental golf carts to making sure we had groceries delivered. Her hospitality was unmatched, and she made the whole experience seamless.
The location of the villa couldn’t have been better—just close enough to town that we could fire in and out for coffee, a quick bite, but still tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful. One thing to note is the villa's location atop a steep hill. While this elevation offers breathtaking views, we highly recommend renting golf carts for easy access to and from town and the beach. This was a minor consideration and did not detract from our overall enjoyment.
Sayulita itself is just such a fun place. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip and are already looking forward to coming back. Huge thanks to Priscilla for making our stay so special—this place is an absolute gem!
