Matías filled us is on his background, passions, and his desire to spread the love and philosophy of yoga.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
My name is Matias, I am from Argentina and I am 31 years old. I am passionate about sports, which is why I studied to be a physical education teacher and a personal trainer, from which I received in 2013. My other passion is traveling, and it was on one of my trips to India where I met Yoga and It changed my life completely, a before and after. I went through it in such a way that I decided that I wanted to deepen in this discipline and returned to India to obtain my diploma (RYT 200hr) and from there I teach and continue training myself to know more every day. I see yoga as a lifestyle rather than merely a physical activity.
- What is your background in the field?
I spent six months in India studying with the best teachers from which I obtained my diploma as a certified teacher endorsed by the Yoga Alliance.W
- What inspired you to start teaching?
The connection with the body was what inspired me to start practicing yoga, and then it changed my life so much for the better that I decided to study it more in depth in order to be a certified instructor. The connection of the body with the mind intrigues me a lot and I think that through the practice of yoga, we can learn a lot about ourselves and how our body-mind works, so guiding these practices motivates me a lot.
- What services do you provide?
I offer open yoga classes in different spaces (sayulita yoga center and anjali each divine at the moment) and also private classes at home.
- What is your process for creating customized services for your clients?
I begin with a conversation with the client to get to know them more in depth and to find out what their intentions are for the practice, and thus be able to put together something special for each guest.
- What can guests expect in the experience?
Practionoers can learn to connect with their breath and from there be able to go inward to listen to what the body has to say. Learning to breathe is also going to help them learn to meditate and in that way they can make their yoga practice deeper every day.
- Can you share a memorable happy client story?
One guest said by attending my practice regularly, they learned to connect with thier breathing and from there began a journey of self-knowledge that took them to the depths of my being and achieved an expansion both physically and emotionally. They was able to release many tensions from both the body and the mind.
- What are your favorite aspects of Sayulita?
I really enjoy diversity of the people and their desire to try new things that they have. They are open to all kinds of experiences and that is fabulous.
- What does your business offer that separates it from the rest?
My classes offer attention, personalized guidance, and depth. We learn to breathe, to meditate, and to loosen the body and mind. We also learn the art of relaxation that will later be used to apply at any time of the day.
- Any other information you would like to add?
I wait for you to begin a journey inward to know us even more and thus be able to heal from the roots.
