For many, a simple surgery can change their lives forever. This is the mission behind the VI Coco Copa de Polo, returning on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, at Tierra Tropical. For the third consecutive year, this event will unite sport, purpose, and community in support of Operation Smile Mexico A.C.

Coco Copa de Polo’s mission is to ensure that every child has access to the safe and effective surgery they need—especially in the communities surrounding our venues, where access to such specialized care may be limited.

The Coco Copa de Polo envisions a future where 100% of children with cleft conditions receive the care they need. Starting with local communities near our venues and expanding globally, we aim to restore health, dignity, and confidence to every child in need.
Meet the Team Behind the Mission
The success of the Coco Copa de Polo is made possible by a dedicated team:
- Maria Perez Vivanco, Public Relations and Funds Procurement Manager for Operation Smile Mexico A.C., personally attends the event each year to ensure transparency and proper fund allocation.
- Susan Stoval (1945–2022), whose legacy continues to inspire the mission.
- Megan Pepin, Coco García, Ziki García, and Horacio García, who bring passion, leadership, and vision to the event.
Since its inception, the Coco Copa has raised over MX$887,741.06, funding approximately 52 surgeries. These funds cover essential material costs, while doctors and hospitals generously donate their time and expertise.
