Norteno Bands Play in the Streets to Earn What They Can
The intersections of highway 200 throughout Bahia de Banderas have been taken over by band members trying to earn a living. Their idea is to play music, make people happy and earn what they can by asking for small donations during COVID-19.
One band member carried a sign that said “Support for musicians. We’re out of work. Music is what we do. Thank you” All of their performances have been cancelled in April, May and June so they are out their doing their best to provide for their families. They plan to continue playing on the streets until this pandemic passes.
It is definitely a happy perk in the midst of this all to pull up to a red light and be serenaded by Norteno Music that just naturally lifts spirits!
