220 Tourists Quarantined in Punta de Mita Resort
Two vacationers from Guadalajara that tested positive for Coronavirus chose to continue with their vacation plans and arrived at a luxury Punta de Mita resort over the weekend. Consequently, approximately 220 vacationers are now being quarantined in Los Veneros resort under strict government enforcement.
Nayarit health authorities requested all guests staying in the resort to be tested for the virus but they refused. As a result, the Healthy Ministry, Civil Protection and State Governor have joined forces in creating a sanitary barrier around the vacation rental resort in order to prevent further spread of the virus. 220 vacationers will not be able to leave the property for a minimum of 10 days.
