Description

Casas Rinconcito y Surf at Casa Rincon, a tropical paradise is located in the private and 24/7 gated community of Punta del Burro, just 20 minutes south of Sayulita, 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta. 10 minutes south of Punta Mita and 5 minutes from the fishing village and marina of La Cruz de Hunacaxtle.

We are the last house on the beach, privately set in a lush palm grove alongside a tropical riverbed and closest to the Burros break just 150 yards from the house. Right in front of our house is a lovely wave for beginners, boogie boarders and seasoned surfers; perfect for bodysurfing, floating, swimming and perfect for children. We roll out of bed, and right into the ocean.

Casa Rinconcito and Casa Surf are two one bedroom casitas perched nearest to the ocean.

Casa Rinconcito (aka The Magical Round House) sits nearest the sea and has one bedroom upstairs with a queen bed and a single built in sofa/bed. Downstairs you'll find a living/dining/gourmet kitchen and a private patio.

Casa Surf is also near the sea with sunset views right out to the Burros surf break. It comes equipped with a queen bed and built in sofa/bed, loft with blowup mattress, kitchenette and private patio.

Besides the emerald green pool, there is an Italian competition all weather ping pong table, brick grill, Grand Palapa with hammocks, built in table and marble counter and sculpted marble sink for entertaining, all romantically lit for unforgettable meals by the sea. We have boogie boards, surfboards and kayaks.

We have a live in caretaker who lives in private quarters at the back of the property and who will help you with almost anything. He is a gem. His daughter is our full time house keeper. They can be hired to cook as well. Having them cook is one of the highlights of a visit to Casa Rincon. Luis will prepare bonfires, cut down coconuts for drinking, and help you in any way possible.

Casa Rincon is a Tropical Paradise enjoying incomparable privacy, set along a lush riverbed and amongst a luscious forest of coconut and many other palms, filled with and surrounded by an endless variety of fruit and tropical trees and flowering plants. If you are a bird lover, then you are in heaven as we are visited daily by numerous varieties of tropical birds. Find books on the native flora, fauna and bird life, Mexican History, Architecture and Art, fiction and more in our library, as well as a large collection of DVD's for your enjoyment.

All I can say is I cannot wait to go back to Casa Rincon!! We had such an amazing time - delicious food, beautiful beach and such a wonderful and beautiful property. The host was so helpful and we are so grateful for the chance to stay as a family.

Wonderfully relaxing in beautiful setting!

All 9 of us ladies had a wonderful time celebrating a 50th birthday! Casa Rincon was like living in luxurious huts in the jungle and the beach was beautiful - calm for a few days and wonderful surf on the other days. Highly recommend have meals prepared by a chef during your stay - the food was incredible and made the trip all the more relaxing to not cook and clean. We also rented a car for the first time and it was great to be able to visit Sayulita, Punta Mita and Bucerias on our time. We felt very safe within the the Punta del Burro compound as well. Would have liked the pool to be a bit warmer and would recommend being very specific on time of arrival if you are having grocery shopping done in advance so supplies are available upon arrival. Overall, wonderful experience with plenty of time to relax, activities to do in a beautiful setting.

Perfect for a family vacation

Casa Rincon exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were just right for our family of 15 with enough private space for each couple and plenty of common space for us to get together for meals and to socialize. The younger children enjoyed the small swimming pool and the adults and older children enjoyed using the surf boards and boogie boards in the ocean.
The entire staff was fantastic. They prepared many of our meals and each one was worth 5 stars.

We had a wonderful time with five adults and two children. The ocean is great for surfing but not swimming, too rough for children and for me but we had fun looking into tide pools and taking advantage of the pool on the property. My daughter surfed every day. All of us had our own little house so we could be together but still be apart if we wanted. I highly recommend this property.

AMAZING all the way around. The house isn’t fancy but the amenities like Eygyptian Cotton sheets upscaled the stay. The main home and other casitas were clean, comfortable and gave each family a place to gather or be alone. The staff were professional

We will go back over and over again! The chef, Erika and caretaker, Luis, were sweet and professional and so willing to help us with questions about local places to go and arranged our surf board rentals and van pickup so our group of 14 could venture out together. The grounds were lush and full of life. The dinners prepared at the house were so delicious and eating together under the grand palapa was amazing! We feel so lucky to have found this amazing location and although we want to tell the world how great it all was, we kind of want to keep it our secret at the same time. GRACIAS!!!

Great place to unwind with family and friends

We stayed at Casa Rincon for two weeks in March 2019. The entire experience - from airport pick up to drop off - was terrific. The house is a delight. Great kitchen. Wonderful indoor and outdoor gathering places for meals, games and conversation. Lots of quiet corners to soak up the sun and sounds of the beach with a book or a special someone. Plenty of privacy for every member of our group. The location is ideal for surfing (not so much for swimming). But the best thing of all is the staff. Luis and Erica were gracious hosts who provided everything we needed from the smallest item to wonderful five course dinners. Jenny keeps the house spotless and is always smiling. A great vacation!

Awesome vacation for 5 couples

Not only was Casa Rincon amazing, but Pablo, Luis & Erica were fantastic. You could stay at another location, but you could never have better service, food, convenience, and location. The house is secluded, right on the beach with wonderful amenities. Every evening we had Luis bring wood to the beach for our post dancing bonfire on the beach as we watched the hermit crabs travel all over the sand.

They have 2 kayaks, multiple surf boards, ping pong, towels, sun block, etc. The waves never let up and were easy to surf for the beginners and great for the experienced a little further down the beach.

We rented a car and had Luis drive us to any destination we wanted to go: Sayulita, Dinner (Four Seasons), shopping at the Mega, getting more beer and tequila. We loved Casa Rincon and recommend it to anyone looking for a great beach vacation in Mexico.

I also recommend fishing one day at least We saw so many whales and caught over 24 fish. I don't know if it is OK to leave a recommendation, but Fernando was our fishing contact and the experience well worth the effort. We invited he and his wife for breakfast with our group the day before and they are really great people

Great Family Vacation

This was perfect for a family group of 12. Ages ranged from 6 to over 70 and everybody had a fabulous time. The property is on a private beach perfect for surfing, kayaking and all the equipment is provided for free! The property manager is very helpful and will do your grocery shopping, pick you up at the airport and arrange tours and taxis. The housekeeper Luis is fantastic he will set up fires on the beach and he and his wife will cook for you. The food is great and everyone raved about it. I would really recommend this for a great family holiday.

Relaxing, beautiful & unique

Our group of 10 stayed here and could not have been more pleased! This is the perfect place for those that love the outdoors. The property is absolutely wonderful. Lots of individual private living spaces that flow down through beautiful mature foliage, to a small sea wall at the edge of soft sandy beach. We spent many hours sitting on loungers by the sea wall, watching for whales... so happy we were there at the right time of year! I thought we would use the AC more, but we all ended up with open windows and doors, the plentiful overhead fans provided more than enough cooling, and it was fantastic to feel so immersed in the outdoors. Over the course of the week, we left the property only twice; once for dinner in La Cruz, and another time for a small shopping trip to the market in Bucerias. The rest of time we stayed put, and enjoyed the truly amazing food that Luis and the staff prepared. Can't say enough about how easy (for us) & tasty they made every meal. So thankful for the option! We ate every meal down under the grand palapa, right on the beach. We all felt truly blissful, fortunate, and relaxed. A couple of notes: the beach is quite rocky close to shore, so either wear the water shoes they have, or bring your chacos/tevas. The waves are really fantastic and fun to kayak on. Also, when we were there in January, the pool was quite cold. We still swam in it being from Vermont & Oregon, and I'm sure that its refreshing in July. Just be prepared. Last comment; we took the bus from the front of the community to Bucerias and back, and would do it again. Very clean, fast, and inexpensive. Much easier than driving. Barbara was lovely to work with, and we would love to return someday soon!

Surf in! Surf out! Casa Rincon is the best for a surf vacation.

We arrived late at night, Ivan greeted us with cold beers and picked us up at the airport. We arrived to Casa Rincon in the middle of the night, all was quiet save for the gentle sound of the waves in the distance. The next morning we woke to a beautiful sunrise and walked straight out to the beach. The neighborhood was sleepy and not many people were out yet, not that there were ever many people out walking the beach. This was one of my favorite aspects of this home, we felt as though we were on a private beach with very little foot traffic, much different from Sayulita. The next day was when the swell arrived, 3-5ft for the rest of our trip....hallelujah! We will definitely be back...maybe when the kids get older...but for now, adults only!

If you surf or want seclusion, you've found it with Casa Rincon. And don't cook, allow Luis to prepare desayuno y cena todos los dias!
