Absolutely perfect! We could have not been happier!
We stayed 3 nights in casita 9 and loved it! It would be so easy to stay there for an extended stay. The view in the morning, hearing the ocean all night, and spotless. The design of the units provides so much privacy and separation. The lighting is excellent at night and the location is perfect. It is only a 3-minute walk to La Plaza centro which is just enough away to get away from the sounds of the nightlife. Excellent coffee can be had across the street as you watch the fisherman get ready in the morning. Simply a million-dollar view and location. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Views and Cold AC
We stayed in Casita #7 because it's right above the pool, which was great for me to relax on the balcony while my son swam. The views of the beach are awesome, whether you're in the pool, on the balcony, in bed, in the kitchen or even in the shower... everywhere has a great view!

The bed is comfy and the couch and chair are great for lounging with a drink in your hand to watch TV or stare at the ocean. The kitchen has everything you need: coffeemaker, microwave, blender, pots/pans, dishes, etc. We were there in July when the heat index was 115, so it was heavenly walking into the ice-cold AC after spending the day outside!

It's very safe... there's a door with a keycode to get into the complex, and we had a locked gate to get onto our patio and a locking slider door for added security (though we felt safe walking across the street to watch the sunrise or sunset from the beach without locking the doors).

There was a staff member in the on-site office pretty much all day, which is nice if you need anything (thanks Brooke and Indira). It's a short walk to EVERYTHING... tiendas, restaurants, bars, swimming/surfing, shops, etc. We can't wait to be back!

Absolutely Wonderful!
We loved sitting in the pool and overlooking the beach - watching surfers and boats coming in and out. Pata Salada is far enough from downtown to be not noisy and close enough for a short walk to town with all the shops and restaurants.

Better than expected
The place far outweighed our expectations. It was so nice that we extended our stay for as long as we could! It was absolutely beautiful. We so enjoyed the patio ... the kitchen was fully equipped and had everything we needed ... the bed was so comfortable ... the air conditioning ... the large shower ... dual sinks in the bathroom ... even a tube of Clorox wipes and a bottle of hand sanitizer. We appreciated the safe and the infinity pool ... and loved the stunning views. It is a real gem! We would highly recommend it!!

A gorgeous place to getaway from it all
We loved every minute staying at Casa Pata Salada! The view was incredible and we loved being so close to town but far enough away from the buzz when we wanted to just relax. The front desk staff were very accommodating with a couple of requests we had and helpful with recommendations for places in town. The place was so clean and we practically had the pool to ourselves. We got used to the stairs and I think a person in reasonable good health can do them. It's nice to have an entrance at the top if your staying in the upper units. We would stay again in a heartbeat! We also loved the 2 friendly kitties that visited us daily too!

Very comfortable and beautiful. Great pool!
#9 was stellar. The extra bed in the loft was key. Kitchen was amazing. Cleaning service was great. Location for us on this trip was perfect. Super close to center of town but right at beach. It is a busy part of beach but for us it was about the surf right there. Appreciated the beach chairs and umbrellas the provide.

Misleading room description
The view from our Casita (#7) was gorgeous, but the room was advertised as having a queen-sized pull-out couch, which it most certainly did not have. From their description: "Casitas #1,3,4, and 7 all sleep up to 4 guests with one king size bed and one queen size pull out couch."What Casita #7 had was a king-sized bed and a futon that was roughly twin-sized (see photos below). Our kids, ages 16 and 19 (and one of them 6' tall), were NOT going to fit on that futon. When we checked in, we mentioned that the 2nd bed was not queen-sized and were told they'd bring us an extra cot. The cot that was brought was extremely small and flimsy. Our 5'3" daughter slept on it but was afraid it would collapse the entire time. Our 6' tall son slept uncomfortably on the short futon. We spoke with management a few other times, and while they were extremely nice, nothing else was done to help make our kids more comfortable for the 5 nights we were there. I took the time to write a similar complaint on the survey Casa Pata Salada left in our room for us and haven't heard back from them.Other than the deceiving description, the casita was nice. The shower was amazing and the bathroom beautiful. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. It was really nice to have a full kitchen as well. We did find someone's underwear in our closet on our first day--I'm sure it was left from the previous tenants, and there were some tiny little ant-like bugs on the counters and walls in the kitchen. I didn't mention the bugs to management because I didn't want insecticide sprayed in the room and because it's a tropical location and things like that happen. I also didn't mention the underwear because we threw them away; problem solved. ;)The pool was gorgeous and right below our room, which was a little of a blessing and a curse, since midway through our stay, a loud, disruptive, drunk group of people came and spent each day at the pool. The view from our private porch was amazing, but we didn't use the porch as much as we might have because of the loud music, cursing, and cigarette smoke from that group of people. We also talked with management about them and I know they were keeping their eye on them--the group never fully got out of hand; they just made things awkward and uncomfortable enough that we didn't feel comfortable using the pool or even being on our porch much when they were there. All in all, I'd recommend this casita for a maximum of 3 people.
