After several years of working for other taxi companies in Sayulita, he saw an opportunity and decided it was time to start his own business in his growing hometown. So in November of last year, he launched PV Luxury Transportation, acquiring two large Suburban vehicles, which can hold a maximum of seven, sometimes eight, people. His uncle, Uriel, is another driver for the company.
However, his mission was not just to be another taxi company, but as he says, “to offer first class service.” Customers are provided with VIP treatment. Those requesting airport pick-up are greeted inside the airport with a placard displaying their name and destination. Once comfortably seated inside and en route to Sayulita, each is offered a beverage of his or her choice. This includes water, soda, juice, beer, or a welcome to Mexico margarita. Pricing is a flat fee, regardless of the number of passengers, and also includes a half hour stop at Mega to purchase groceries or supplies. Return to the airport service is also available.
Because Arturo’s vehicles have federal license plates, trips or tours are only limited by his customer’s imagination. He is happy to go anywhere and to do, “whatever the customer wants to do.” Some popular destinations include Tepic, San Blas, Tequila, and Guadalajara, with even overnight, and following day service being an option. Some guests enjoy the luxury transport while en route to Punta de Mita or San Pancho, from either the airport or during a day trip from Sayulita to explore or enjoy a nice meal in these nearby towns. It can also be arranged to have the driver wait while any given activity is performed. That way, there is no need to estimate when the return ride will be needed. The driver will simply be there, ready to go whenever the need arises.
Top notch service is what PV Luxury Transportation offers. The customer is king. “Whatever they want is what’s going to happen,” he says, going on to explain for example, “if they do or don’t want air conditioning or music, or want to drive slower, no matter, it will be done.” What governs everything is the customer’s comfort and desires. If of interest, recommendations of places to visit, restaurants to try, etc. will also be happily provided. Arturo often receives thank you emails from satisfied customers saying “how comfortable, at home, and amongst family” they felt while utilizing his services.
