Casa Mariposa in Sayulita is a beachfront two-bedroom, two bath villa with an infinity pool that hangs over the edge of patio. The house offers spectacular views of the surf and coastline from it’s location on the highest corner of the Cielo property, only minutes from the village or beach.
Casa Mariposa's bedrooms consist of one with a king-size bed and bath and the other with a queen-size bed and bath next door. There are large patios and seating areas with sun and shade depending on your preference. The views of the beach and coastline are as good as it gets in Sayulita and, with the pool, you may never need to leave the property. There are sheets, towels, a music player, coffee grinder and a fully equipped kitchen. You can reach the beach and village by taking the walkway and steps down through the property or by walking the back road.
To get to the house you will follow Revolucion one block past the Plaza and turn on the angled right turn on to Niños Heroes. Go two blocks and turn right at the paved road with the triangular garden on to Bougainvilia. Go to the top of the hill and turn left and your will see our gate with two white columns with Cielo on the left and a list of houses on the right. Walk through the parking area and up the stairs. After a few yards, take the path to the left with the Butterfly (mariposa) through a garden. Across the garden on the right is Casa Jardin. At the end of the garden is a two story building with Alta Vista up the steps and Mariposa on the ground level to the right. There's a metal gate and lock box with the keys to the house. As you walk on to the patio, you will see one of the most amazing views you will see anywhere in the world. The pool and lounge chairs are there, waiting for you to lay back and relax!

Deposits and refunds
All reservations require a deposit of 50% in order to hold the reservation. The balance of the rental charge is due one month prior to your arrival.
If you cancel a reservation at least 6 months before the rental, we refund the deposit. After that, we are happy to refund your deposit if and we can re-book the house, If we cannot re-rent, we will not refund the deposit.
No pets due to allergies of other renters

With that said, a few small suggestions to owners for an improved guest experience:
1) the kitchen is well appointed but the knives need to be sharpened (very common thing in most STRs we have stayed)
2) we rented a gold cart a couple of times and could not charge at night- first time only active extension cord was occupied, second night we had help getting a second cord placed but after a full night plugged in- no charge. A reliable charging station would be a nice improvement.
3) maid service was great but on final day the team arrived 20 minutes prior to check out and went to work. Not a huge issue but we had a car booked for exactly check out time and planned to use the last few minutes to do a second pass through to make sure we had not left anything. This made for a bit of a stressful end to the stay as we felt rushed to leave.
Aside from above small suggestions out experience was fantastic and would recommend this stay to anyone hoping for a comfortable safe setting to relax with a great view while being close to town and the beach!
