Description

Jaja Hacienda in Sayulita is a charming combination of old world Mexico with modern convenience. The casita is private and located in a quiet neighborhood just a 10 minute walk from all the restaurants, shops, activities, the main beach and surf breaks, and just a 5 minute walk to Playa de los Muertos, a great swimming beach.

This private casita is situated on a large, walled and gated property. Guests will enjoy a private oasis complete with terrace, fountain, and lawns. As well as a covered outdoor dining area. There is a fully equipped kitchen should you choose to make meals at home, Smart TV with Netflix, and a safe for your valuables.

The bedroom has a king size bed and spacious ensuite bath that will make you feel like you are at the spa. There is an individual size bed in the living room/kitchen area that could sleep one extra person. There is A/C and fans for your comfort.

Our property manager is bilingual and is available to address any needs that may arise. The owners visit from time to time and their home is located on the same property although completely separate from the casita.

Prices are per night and in US Dollars

There is a three night minimum

Low Season (July-Oct): $150/night
High Season (Nov-June): $165/night
Holidays (Christmas/New Years, Easter): $185/night

Check in: After 3:00 PM
Check out: By 12:00 PM (Noon)

Please no smoking, pets or parties/events.

Cancelations and deposits:
All reservations require a deposit of 50% in order to hold the reservation. The balance of the rental charge is due 60 days prior to your arrival.

If you cancel a reservation and we can re-book the casita we are happy to refund your deposit.
We use PayPal as it seems the most secure method of payment for each party. We will never ask for a wire transfer. If you prefer, you can also etransfer.

Love this place! Would recommend 100%.

Steve and Effie put effort into every detail in this casita. It’s open, airy, flows well, huge bathroom & even bigger outdoor space - with two dining tables and loungers. Had a lovely stay & wish I could have spent more time with S & E, they are lovely people.

5 stars all around!

Effie was an amazing host, maybe the best I’ve had in all my years of renting! She was super friendly but allowed you space, always available if you needed anything. The house itself is super clean, private and comfortable. Small touches that I really appreciated- plenty of clean, fresh towels and water carafes in every room. The private garden is also amazing. We loved hearing the fountain while we slept. Location is perfect because it’s at the edge of town out of the hustle and bustle and right next to one of the best small beaches. 10/10, thank you Effie!

A perfect oasis

Such a beautiful oasis tucked away from the rush of down town. Such a lovely, private home decorated impeccably. A well appointed kitchen and comfortable bed. The shower is to die for! We enjoyed lounging in the garden and eating meals out in the patio.
A short walk to some very lovely beaches.
This place is a little treasure in Sayulita.

Perfect location and perfect place!

We had a lovely stay! The hosts were warm and accommodating and the flat was just as described. We loved the outdoor daybed in the afternoons, as it is perfectly shady and has an overhead fan. We hope to return again when the condo across the way is done! Thanks Effie and family.

This place was a beauty and everything we were looking for

We loved staying at Effie and Steve’s place, peaceful, private and very relaxing! This was exactly what we were looking for. This lovely house provided a place of calmness and rest with enough space to enjoy our favorite hobbies of cooking, reading and yoga.
Tucked away just a small walk from the action is what we loved the most. Nice and quiet at night for good sleep and not much of a walk to some very nice coffee shops, restaurants and beaches.
What was especially nice, this rental is connected to Effie and Steve’s main house so it gave us a good sense of security knowing the owners were only through a garden gate if we needed them, plus they had four lovely and super friendly dogs also looking after us!
We felt Effie and Steve were more than happy to go above and beyond helping us out with questions and favors we asked of them. Super lovely hosts! Super lovely relaxing authentic Mexican house to stay! We’d revisit for sure!

Super quiet oasis near Playa dos Muertos

We had the pleasure of spending 2 weeks in January at Jaja Hacienda, and absolutely loved it! On its west-facing slope, we gazed straight into jungle, while at the same time we enjoyed a relaxing swim in the pool... our hosts were super generous with their time, and gave us guidance on which restaurants and shops were really worth exploring. Really looking forward to visiting again next year!!

Quiet, clean and comfy.

We enjoyed our stay and Steve and Effie's. They went above and beyond when we needed a little help. The house is lovely, and the accommodations are great. There is plenty of space to spread out read a book or relax. We definitely appreciated the quiet evenings and mornings. It's nice to be a little way out of town to get a good night's sleep. We found everything we needed inside for cooking.

Highly Recommend

Comfortable place with a relaxing back patio area. About a 5-10 minute walk to the town square. Close to the main beaches as well as some private ones. Check-in & out was simple. All around easy experience.

Amazing home & hosts

My partner and I had a lovely stay at Jaja Hacienda. The garden was our favorite part—flowers, banana trees, and a calming water fountain that we fell asleep listening to every night. I wish we could have stayed longer!

This home is walkable to beaches and town. Yet, we didn’t hear any of the downtown noise.

Effie and Steve were fantastic hosts. I’m appreciative of their hospitality!
