Stunning venue, poor service

We had our wedding here for 80 people in February 2025. The location is absolutely stunning, all the guests commented about the beautiful view. However, be aware that if you decide to use a caterer apart from Don Pedro’s, not only will they charge a very high fee, but will also not include any services. This was not communicated to us, even though we were clear from a year in advance that we would be using a different caterer. The day of the wedding, the event manager, Blandine, was nowhere to be found and not helpful at all. There were no plates or table settings provided, the bathrooms were not stocked, and there was nobody on site from Don Pedro’s to help. It was stressful and frustrating that this was not explained to us in any communications throughout the year of planning, or in the contract. If you choose to have your wedding or event here, please be aware and do not expect good service.

Absolutely stunning! Book it.

First off, Nelly is incredibility helpful and sweet. I loved working with her. She made everything so much easier while planning a wedding from outside the country.

The views cannot be beat at the Palapa. At sunset, the light is perfect and makes for the best photos.

The food and drinks are incredible. My carne asade entrée was delicious! We also loved all of the passed canapés. We ended up so full from all the wonderful food, we sadly weren't hungry for the late night quesadilla bar.

Brisa Mar Palapa is great for any size wedding. We had a small, under 20 person wedding. It still felt intimate and inviting even though we could have fit hundreds of more people there.

If you're considering a wedding at Brisa Mar Palapa, I highly recommend you book it.

For the most perfect, flawless wedding- choose this venue!

We had our wedding at the Brisa Mar Palapa in November 2021. Nelly Garcia, who runs events for Don Pedro's, served as our day-of-coordinator- and WOW! Not only did she pull off the most magical wedding for us- but she also made the planning process a breeze. Wedding planning can be tough, let alone trying to plan a wedding abroad. Nelly was our lifesaver- the most responsive, detail-oriented, friendly, and overall superhero of a woman. Our ceremony & reception went off without a hitch- no flaws, no issues- we were amazed! For the rest of Don Pedro's staff- we have nothing but amazing things to say. The staff provided tip-top service to us and our guests. The food was delicious- we had guests raving about the food the next day- especially the Filet Mignon- people claiming it was the best steak they'd ever had. Drinks were fresh and delicious. Lastly, the location is breathtaking. We had our ceremony on the point. Little did we know at the time, as we said our vows, guests reported there were dolphins jumping in the background.
If you're looking for the perfect place for your wedding, no need to look further- you've found it.

An incredible venue

Brisa Mar Palapa is by far one of the most incredible venues to host a wedding or an event. Every detail has been taken into consideration to combine the perfect amount of nature, intimacy, comfort and elegance. I could not imagine a nicer place for wedding - watching the sunset over the water, incredible, fresh food and dancing the night away in the amazing setting really created a magical experience. I would highly recommend Brisa Mar Palapa if you are planning your wedding in Sayulita!

Perfect Wedding

We had our wedding here in early May. Everything about the venue, the service, the coordination - everything - was perfect.

The location is well-known as the most beautiful wedding venue in Sayulita - some of guests described it as a magazine wedding. The Palapa itself is huge - we had 80 people and came nowhere near filling it.

The service was impeccable, our guests nicknamed them drink ninjas because no-one ever had an empty drink. The food was delicious (many, many comments from our guests) coming from Don Pedro's itself.

We also used the coordination services of Don Pedro's reservation manager, Nelly, on the day of. Nelly gets things done but has a calming personality, very good on the day of when our stress levels were high. She is extremely resourceful since she knows every single vendor on Sayulita. Most of the vendors we engaged were recommended by her, saving us a lot of time researching.

We would highly recommend La Palapa to anyone planning a wedding in Sayulita.

PS - no-one got sick, and we were not careful at all.

Don Pedros' Brisa Mar was the most amazing wedding experience I could have imagined

I don't even know where to begin with how perfect everything was that was provided by Don Pedro's. The service was amazing (even though it was through email and across countries- they always got back to me perfectly). Nelly was always there when we needed it and let us visit before hand. They were all about us having a perfect wedding. They were kind, genuine and supportive. And the location- is the most beautiful place I have been in my life. I could not imagine a more perfect wedding venue. Lastly, the food was to die for!! My praises mainly to the asana carne! The service again, was great!! When my mother fainted at the wedding, the servers were quick to act and support. I highly highly recommend over any hotel wedding. And, if you need a wedding planner, I would highly recommend Nelly over a travel agent.

Most beautiful and organized location available

Wonderful Memories Made at Brisa Mar Palapa

Better late than never. We often revisit in our minds, as well as video and pictures, of the wonderful day of our daughters wedding in February 2018. Planning from the U.S. made us worry, however, there was no need too! Everything was perfectly executed! It was a perfect place to hold the wedding and the reception (wish I could post some pictures)! I had been to sit-down dinner receptions in the states and they never turned out well. Ours, was flawless! Everyone was served within 10 minutes and no one received the wrong choice. With nearly 100 guests we were extremely impressed! The views are stunning, the venue well-kept.

Beautiful venue!

Dear Nelly,
Please forgive me for waiting so long to express our heart felt thanks for Don Perdro's wonderful food, bar and service at our daughter's wedding on February 25th! My husband and I were very happy with everything and our guests loved the beautiful venue - it is a stunning location and was perfect for our daughter's wedding!
