Casa Vela in Sayulita is an exquisite luxury villa located on the North end of Sayulita overlooking the ocean, jungle and village. This unique house is a fusion of traditional Mexico and open-air beach living. The warm yellow walls and Saltillo tile floors invite you to sink in and relax with the ocean breeze and sounds of the crashing waves.

Upon entering Casa Vela you are greeted by an expansive view of Sayulita’s bay and the beach that is only a short walk down the cobblestone street. The open palapa living room is the perfect place to relax with family and friends, lounge by the infinity pool with a cold cerveza, watch the game on the TV, nap on the shaded outdoor sun bed, or shoot some pool on the championship pool table! You can check out the surf, watch the whales spout and the dolphins play from just about every room in the house as well.

The fully equipped kitchen with 15 ft. bar has everything you will need to create wonderful meals from fresh local ingredients. Hand crafted copper sinks and authentic Talavera tile add to the rustic charm of this beautiful kitchen. In the adjacent palapa dining area you will find a large custom built dining table and built in gas barbeque where you can grill up and serve the “catch of the day” from the fishermen of the village. If you would like to arrive to a fully stocked pantry & fridge, send us a list and we will do the shopping before you arrive (for a small additional fee). At your request, a personal cook can be arranged to prepare Mexican delicacies for you.

From each private suite you will awake from a restful night’s sleep to see the ocean stretching out in front of you. Comfortable mattresses and pillows, high quality linens and towels add to the luxury of this tropical retreat. We have also installed in room safes for your security and peace of mind.  

If you wish to host an event or retreat, the property also includes a private, enclosed 1000 sq ft deck covered by a palapa.  This area also includes a kitchen, lounge and bathroom.  Lush tropical plants and the gentle sounds of the crying wall add to the ambiance and create a perfect backdrop for your special event or retreat.  This is the perfect spot for a small wedding and space for up to 50 guests - rain or shine! The spacious new deck can accomodate up to 25 people for yoga or other retreat settings. 

The entire house is adorned with hand-selected art, decorations and furnishings from throughout Mexico. Together, these elements create a fun and eclectic style that is the perfect complement to the amazing views from Casa Vela. The thoughtfully laid out floor plan and incomparable ambiance is perfect for entertaining!

The north end location of Casa Vela couldn’t be better, you are close enough to walk to town, yet far enough not to hear the late-night music from the bars or (very) early morning crowing of the roosters!  We are certain that Casa Vela is everything you are looking for in a vacation house with the perfect mix of casual luxury.
