The whole cooking experience was amazing. The studio was beautiful, clean and stylish. It felt like I was cooking with a chef at high-end restaurant but it was a like cooking with a close family member in their home. Chef JJ was so informative and friendly! We booked this for the last evening of our vacation and it truly made this experience one of the highlight of our trip! I was able to easily try these delicious dishes the next day once I returned home.

JJ's food was unique and delicious. He was able to accommodate all our dietary restrictions without compromising flavor. Would use again!

We had JJ come to cook for a group of friends (7 of us). We all had different dietary needs and JJ didn't miss a beat and provided some menu options that all sounded fantastic. We ended up with the chicken mole (wow). What I didn't expect was the ease with which he'd arrive at our space and provide a meal that felt both casual and special. We felt taken care of but not overly. Having eaten out the prior 2 nights, the ability to relax, move around was a great feeling. His stories and care for all the things he prepared were above and beyond. For example he mentioned some margaritas where included but what I didn't realize was how unique and good they would be. Each one was different and special. Better than any we had had out. The best part was that we had left overs for the next day. A great experience. Worth it, worth it, worth it.

Our adult family of 5 invited JJ and Naomi to our place to enlighten us and impress us - and they certainly did! They prepared the fish that we caught earlier in the day as ceviche, then showed us how to make tortillas while they prepared a tenderloin and tequila dish, a mole and chicken dish, and amazing margaritas! All the while entertaining us with stories of family and Sayulita. This was an experience we will remember! Thank you, JJ and Naomi :)

We stayed at a lovely house on Gringo Hill, JJ and Jonathan showed up as scheduled, fully equipped to make us a lovely dinner. They were courteous, kind, funny, and charming. I caught a fish the day before and asked if there was anyway they could use it for the meal so on the fly, JJ prepared a phenomenal appetizer of fish tacos on blue corn tortillas with two homemade salsas in addition to the delicious shrimp sopes he had planned. He took the time to make my four year old son a quesadilla which he quickly devoured before requesting another. For dinner, we were treated to an amazing chicken mole, the best rice I’ve ever tasted, and more blue corn tortillas. The phenomenal meal was accompanied by delightful explanations of what it was and where it originated. He was warm and friendly, open to questions and conversation, but not the least bit intrusive. My mother in law and daughter raved about the margaritas and the flan he served for dessert was perfect! They cleaned up the kitchen, put away any food we had not yet devoured, and left as quietly as they came. Before leaving, JJ took the time to ask if we’d like him to make a sauce for the fish that was left and then sent the sauce, along with explicit directions on how to prepare it the next day. Do yourself a favor and treat your family to this unique and wonderful experience! Thank you JJ!

I heartily recommend JJ. The vegan options were not an afterthought. He brought his A game and we devoured lentil pomegranate ceviche and cheesy enchiladas. Thank you JJ for great food and a full on experience that is everything classically Sayulita. Could not ask for better ambience touches.

JJ and his staff were incredible. He was incredibly conscious about making sure we’d agreed on pricing and he took fantastic care of the two vegans in our party of 6. He was communicative and prompt. The food was the absolute winner though JJ was so diligent about the mole and made sure our experience eating his food was like eating at a 5 star restaurant. Cannot thank him enough for making our time with him as special as it was 10/10 recommend.

We had the most amazing time celebrating our anniversary with JJ! The food was absolutely incredible...I mean it when I say I was genuinely sad I was too full to finish everything! JJ was so welcoming and shared so many stories with us about his cooking and the cuisine. I highly recommend a class with JJ for a memorable and unique experience!

JJ prepared a delicious meal for me and my partner, taught us about Mexican cooking, and let us help in the process. This was a special experience that we will never forget - a true highlight of our trip! My one piece of advice if you are doing the cooking class - consider not finishing each course… there is plenty of food!

JJ and his crew were incredible! Our bachelorette group was all vegetarian, and a few had extra dietary restrictions (no nuts, minimal dairy). JJ planned an amazing, creative menu that our whole party enjoyed. He and his team brought dishes and cutlery to our AirBnB and set up the table (it was gorgeous), brought us delicious dishes, and paced the meal well. He and his assistants were so friendly, patient and professional. Highly recommend working with with JJ!
