Casa Sonrisa in Sayulita consists of two charming residences on the property which can be rented together for a total of 3 bedrooms. The walk to town or the beach is 7-10 minutes depending on your stride, although there are shops and eateries beginning just around the corner from the base of our road leading the way to the square. Each of the units feature commissioned art, beautiful high quality furnishings, full kitchens, hand forged hardware and first quality European and American fixtures throughout. You'll have full access to the tiled pool with water feature, dining terrace, pool side dry bar with adjoining built in propane barbecue, sun terrace with lounge chairs, and outside shower. The bedding, sheets and towels are all above average to make your stay more enjoyable. The kitchens are fully appointed with high end pots and pans,nice dishes, cutlery and stainless for all the comforts of home. Each unit has a personal safe for extra security.
Each unit is completely independant with its own living, dining, kitchen and bath(s) and can be rented together to host up to 6 guests. Please see below if you are interested in renting the units separately.
Casa Sonrisa's Pool level (sleeps up to four), is located on the main or pool level and boasts TWO bedrooms, (one king and one queen) each bedroom has a private bath with large walk in shower, air conditioning, abundant storage. The fully equipped kitchen with on demand instant hot and ice cold filtered water, has everything you will need to complete a wonderful meal to eat at the breakfast bar or at one of the two outside dining tables. Casa Sonrisa has a dining table for four on the covered terrace and a dining table for two on the sun terrace. This unit comes with a stereo, CD player, DVD and TV for viewing movies, phone service for local or incoming long distance. (You will need to purchase a phone card in town to place out going long distance.)
Casa Sonrisa Palapa Penthouse, is a one bedroom open floor plan with incredible ocean views that boasts a soaring palapa roof, a wall of french doors that opens to a large terraza to enjoy the breath taking ocean view. This unit has been described as "very romantic and sexy."
The Palapa Penthouse includes a king sized bed, private lockable storage for personal items, air conditioning, bluetooth aspeaker, Beautiful fully appointed kitchen, with on demand instant hot and ice cold filtered water, full sized interior dining room with custom iron and stone table that seats six,
There is phone service for local calls and incoming long distance, you will need to purchase a phone card in town, for out going long distance.

I was in love with this beautiful property when I saw it on Sayulita Life back in June 2022. I was planning for a January 2023 trip and was delighted to secure the poolside rental contractually with Leyla at Morris Rentals, the owner of Casa Sonrisa at the time.
Unfortunately, I’ll never get to experience this beautiful casita in my home country.
Apparently there was a change in ownership between now (December 2022) and when I signed the contract 6 months ago. Neither Leyla nor Morris Rentals notified me. My reservation didn’t transfer. I was notified by the new owners, Apex Management Group (AMG) 1 month before my trip of the mistake, which was only caught in advance due to an audit. I can’t imagine what it would’ve been like for me to arrive with my guests only to find out the new owners had overbooked and we’d have nowhere to stay.
When asked to honor the original contract signed 6 months ago, AMG refused to offer any accommodations. I asked them to pay the price difference that will likely incur from finding an alternate location so late, but they declined. Mind you, I’m going for a wedding, and that is not the only wedding that is happening that weekend. All the great and affordable casitas in Sayulita are basically booked! Now I am stuck looking for a new vacation rental that meets our needs and is within our budget, ONE MONTH before we go to Sayulita.
I am so disappointed with the lack of integrity and accountability. I am solely write this review to warn others of this unprofessional and unethical experience. It’s hard giving benefit of the doubt when people don’t try to meet you halfway.
