Welcome to Casa Sombra, one of the last traditional family compounds left in Sayulita. Let your kids roam free inside the compound walls, on the grassy front lawn, safe from the hustle and bustle of the town. Enjoy total privacy at this gorgeous traditional Mexican villa-style private residence that’s perfectly situated on the tranquil north side of town, just a block from the best uncrowded beach in Sayulita, and just a short 7 minute walk to the town Plaza.
The Space
From the outdoor dining area enjoy the view of this lush botanical sanctuary. Sip your morning coffee to the sounds of visiting birds as they bathe in the fountain or hop around from tree top to tree top. The shaded front porch is a great place to watch your kids as they swim in the pool or take an afternoon siesta in the outdoor swing bed.
The two part pool features shallow wading section, perfect for little swimmers in training or cocktail sipping adults who want to stay cool without getting their hair wet. The deeper end provides a great place to play pool games or float around on inflatables while soaking up the tropical sunshine.
The main house features two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, living room area and fully equipped kitchen. The master suite features a king size bed, ensuite bathroom and air-conditioner. The second bedroom features two full size beds, bathroom adjacent and air-conditioner. It’s perfect for children or a couple of adults who don’t mind sharing a room.
Separate from the house, on top of the bodega, is a private Casita featuring a king size bed, ensuite bathroom, air-conditioner, private patio, kitchenette and refrigerator. Above the Casita, enjoy the cool breeze from a peek-a-boo ocean view palapa, perfect for practicing yoga or having a massage.

Guest Access
Guests have access to the entire private property.
Other Details to Note
Please know that although this is a private residence, it has neighbors and as such guests are required to respect quiet hours.
This is a great space to host a chef, tequila tasting or massages. Please know that in order to organize such an event, your Property Manager must be informed of the service provider well before the arrival. Your Property Manager may also help set this up.
House Cleaning
Imelda is at Casa Sombra 3 days each week. Guests will see her Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Interaction with Guests
Casa Sombra is professionally managed by Tu Casa Property Management. They will be in touch with you prior to and during your stay. They will help with transportation as well as many other details and of course be at the property to welcome your group. Ximena, Bloyd and Carlos will be in touch with you prior to your arrival to ensure a smooth check-in.
Directions will be provided via a whatsapp group as well as an online manual for ease of arrival.
Getting Around
Some guests love to walk everywhere but many also enjoy the use of a golf cart which you can easily rent by contacting the Property Managers.
Check-in is at 3pm. Check out is at 12pm.
Luggage drop upon arrival and luggage hold upon departure are available by contacting your PM.

House Rules
Casa Sombra is a private residence and as such, Guests are expected to treat it accordingly.
Casa Sombra is strictly limited to the guests in the rental group. Should you want to invite a guest outside of the rental group, communicate directly with the PM prior to doing so. This includes having a chef or service provider such as a masseuse at the property.
Casa Sombra is primarily intended for the enjoyment of families and friends. There will be no large-scale parties, wedding ceremonies, receptions, nor similar events on the grounds without the explicit approval of the owners.
The renter is solely responsible for safe codes, using them properly and maintaining all locked doors of the property.
The guests are not to share keys or codes with anyone outside of the rental group as this may lead to having to pay for a re-keying of locks.
Casa Sombra has stairs with openings, ledges, and a pool with no fence. If you have infants or children, adults MUST provide supervision at all times.
Trash will not accumulate. Renters are to dispose of trash when the trash bin is full.
Do not flush anything other than human waste down toilets. Please dispose of toilet paper and sanitary items in the garbage can.
Do not put food or objects down the drains.
Please communicate immediately with the Property Managers any issues related to the house, i.e. (water leak, power/internet outage, broken/damaged property, etc.)
The renter shall allow the Property Manager access to the property for the purposes of repair and inspection. The Property Manager shall access this right in a reasonable manner and will always communicate first with the renter.
The renters will not deliberately remove, destroy, or damage the house, its contents or its surroundings. The renter agrees to reimburse the owners for any such damages.
The renter is responsible for notifying the property managers and paying for lost keys and re-keying locks.
Pets of any kind are not allowed on the premises.
The renters are responsible for all guests in the rental party following house rules.
House cleaners will be given entry to the house during their scheduled times.
Smoking or vaping is only allowed outside at the street level.

Minimum Stay:
* Low Season (July-Oct): $395USD - 3 nights
* High Season (Nov-June): $495USD - 4 nights
* Holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving, Xmas/New Year’s): $595 - 4 nights

If the Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation, the full rental amount will be refunded as follows:
100% if canceled 120 days prior to the Check-in Date
50% if canceled 45 days prior to the Check-in Date
0% if canceled less than 45 days prior to the Check-in Date
If cancellation is due to a travel restriction and you can not travel due to COVID or similar government travel restrictions, there will be a 5% rebooking fee or a 10% cancellation fee.
We can accept Paypal payments or wire transfers to US or Mexican bank accounts. Notes: *50% due at booking, balance due 30 days prior to arrival.
