A journey to the beautiful village of Sayulita is the perfect escape. Kick summer off with activity, new connections, and a perspective only a retreat in a foreign land can give.  Sayulita has much to offer: accessible waves for surfers of all abilities, a variety of restaurants, shops that feature local artists, beaches, unique homes to rent, and the beautiful sun. Enjoy gazing and listening to the ocean while we practice in our private palapa (pictured). On non-travel days we’ll have a 1.5 hour morning and evening yoga sessions, have the opportunity to eat as a group out on the town, explore some neighboring beaches, surf, paddle board, and play with some partner poses on the beach.  All abilities welcome!

Your Instructor:
In college, I stumbled upon yoga after a hip-hop dance class in 1997. I’m forever grateful for the diversity of my liberal arts education. Once I connected to Kim King-Zamoff’s version of vinyasa, I practiced with her extensively for five years. I got my first teaching certificate from Kim in 2002. I taught A LOT of yoga for the next 4 years and decided to continue my studies at Seattle’s Samadhi Yoga Center. My understanding of teaching, Sanskrit, yogic philosophy and scriptures, mantra, and anatomy was enriched under Kathleen Hunt’s guidance. I graduated with a RYT 200+hour certificate in 2006 from Samadhi Yoga Center. I’ve also had the honor of immersing annually with Shiva Rea since 2004, accumulating well over 100 hours of additional teacher training experience. Yoga: We'll practice yoga in a beautiful oceanfront palapa. Open the map of rentals, here on sayulitalife.com. The Palapa is in on the ocean between Casa Higuera and Casa Bougainvillea. Fees: $475 all yoga and group adventures. $100 reserves your spot. Fees do not include food/air/ground/transport/surf rentals/housing.

Housing: Book your own accommodations here on sayulitalife.com.  Sharing rentals with group members is encouraged.  Get on board!  A big, beautiful shared home is already being facilitated via email for May’s retreat.  

Air: Your point of origin to PVR.  Try to arrange arrival and departure at about 3pm.

Surfing/Paddleboarding: Perfect place to learn, boards/lessons available at additional cost ($10/hr, $25/day)
