Most incredible dog & cat rescue in Punta Mita, Mexico
I adopted my two cats as well as my pup Ticky from Wet Noses shelter in Punta de Mita, Mexico, and I couldn’t be more impressed with this shelter. They are doing an amazing job of providing a safe and caring environment for dogs and cats, most of who have been through so much. Their dedication to improving the lives of these animals is truly admirable, and their efforts to control the local animal population through spaying and neutering is crucial for the well-being of both the animals and the community.

It's heartwarming to know that these animals have a chance to find a loving home with people who will cherish and care for them. If you're in the Punta de Mita area or nearby, visiting Wet Noses and spending time with these animals could not only brighten their day but yours as well.

What a LOVING shelter in Punta de Mita town! FABULOUS temporary HOME FOR CATS and DOGS
After arriving Puerto Vallarta, we went to Walmart, picked up dog/cat items galore, and zipped down the highway straight to Wet Noses Shelter. I'd been before, and couldn't wait to see it again. It's off the main road in a quiet neighborhood, and I love the beautiful large tree providing shade for the animals. But, most important is the love and care the staff give these worthy dogs and cats who need a safe space until they are adopted. What a wonderful space they have! They were just finishing with the building of their new cat gymnasium - a very nice very large area dedicated to the beautiful kitties and cats. I found out about Wet Noses Shelter from the absolutely darling restaurant they have in San Pancho, named Casa Chucho, where all profits were donated to the shelter. I met the owners and they are absolutely lovely, committed people - committed to caring for the dogs and cats in the Punta Mita greater area; Sayulita and San Pancho. It's very apparent that the shelter is pure love; there is a lot of dedication in taking care of so many animals with needs. They do this with love, and knowledge, hands down. I believe the founder is also opening up a veterinarian clinic in Punta Mita very soon. Dedication to this cause! There are many shelters, and many good souls that take care of animals in need - but, for sure, you can trust in Wet Noses Shelter to do it so well and to assist you with the travel arrangements so a dog or cat can easily make it's way to your home in the US and even Canada. They will handle this and I highly suggest looking at their website, but also follow their Instagram for the latest dogs and cats in need!! And if you are in the Puerto Vallarta area, please call or message them via Instagram and they will provide you the address to visit. They welcome visitors - and welcome monetary donations and dog/cat supplies. Also, if you love Wet Noses Shelter, and you use Amazon - please sign up via Amazon Smile and include Wet Noses Shelter as the recipient of FREE funds from Amazon. It doesn't cost you a cent to sign up or donate via Amazon Smile. I can't say enough about how good the people behind the scene are. They truly are animal lovers and dedicated to this cause. And, if you find yourself in San Pancho (the coolest beach town in the Riviera Nayarit) then stop by Casa Chucho, one block from the beach. It's a BEAUTIFUL restaurant, affordable and great food! Follow their Instagram - Wet Noses Rescue in Sayulita/Punta Mita

Amazing people!
Wet Noses is amazing - we adopted our newest dog from them while visiting Mexico. They went above and beyond to help us safely bring him home. Amazing, caring organization! Even if you aren't looking to adopt go by and volunteer to do dog walks 🙂 super fun to meet and play with the dogs.

Thanks Laney! You are definitely a VIP adopter. Flying to San Diego from Texas, and driving Rex back to his new home was absolutely the best. Wet Noses Rescue is thankful🐾💜you volunteered then adopted.

Very quick response, Wet Noses WANTS to help!
I was vacationing in Mexico last week (4/11-4/15) and found an injured cat at my resort with a huge hole in its side that definitely needed stitches. I googled Wet Noses and thought I would try to see if they could help. I received a response in less than 30 minutes. With the help of Ixchel and Claudia we arranged one of them to come onto the resort, we located the cat and without issue got him into a carrier and taken to the vet with no issue.

He received stitches, was tested for leukemia and HIV (both negative), received vaccines and now I'm trying to adopt him.

I will support this cause over and over again. They are amazing and the communication is great. Thank you for everything so far!
