Villa Surya

Our stay was absolutely incredible. The house was beautiful. Every room was nice with beach views. The view from this house was breathtaking. We enjoyed sunset views from the deck every night.

The house was very clean. The housekeeper Gloria came and cleaned every day, which was a HUGE bonus we hadn’t even accounted for when we booked. It made our stay with a big group so easy.

Aléthia was fantastic. She gave great recommendations and was super responsive.

A few things to note:
- DEFINITELY rent golf carts. We had a marathon runner in our group and even she wouldn’t want to walk up the hill every day :). You can work with Aléthia to get them from a good company. If you are coming for a holiday week (eg New Years or Christmas) book months early because all the golf carts in town will sell out.
- For surf lessons, we used Johnny from sunset sessions and would definitely recommend him.

Where do I start? Alethia was so responsive. If we messaged her for a recommendation, the response was immediate. A few times we messaged her. She was so fast I didn't see her response! :-) She made us feel right at home. I also wanted to make sure to talk about Gloria the housekeeper. She was amazing. She didn't speak English very well.... we didn't speak Spanish very well.... and yet we were able to communicate effectively. My 4-year-old daughter loved her. Gloria is also an amazing cook. The house description said Gloria could cook traditional dinners at the house if you request it. I highly recommend you do this! There are plenty of outstanding restaurants in Sayulita but Gloria's will be one the most memorable. YUM!!!!!! She even made homemade flan for dessert. I would also follow the recommendation to rent a golf cart for the stay. Some of the Cart rental places weren't responding to my requests. Alethia was on it and gave us a hand. Outstanding!

This place is charming from the view to the accommodations, everything met our expectations. The hosts were great and met us at the property for check-in and check-out. Alethia was super attentive to all of our questions and set us up with Gloria who cooked us some delicious meals. We were thrilled with everything and had a perfect stay. Highly recommend!

The house & location is just wonderful!! Breathtaking view! Alethia was the most lovely host, has the best restaurants & to-do tips for Sayulita, everything she recommended was spot on!! We enjoyed every minute of our stay here, highly recommended. House came with a lovely lady Gloria, who cleaned the house on a daily - bonus!!

Hands down the best vacation rental we’ve ever stayed in! The pictures don’t describe it properly, and the view is amazing! Alethia was a great host with very clear and helpful communication. We had to reschedule our trip due to Covid but were able to rebook this STUNNING home due to availability. Alethia was always attentive and there to answer all our questions and give great recommendations. She helped with our golf cart rentals, a private chef and all the tips to truly enjoy Sayulita with ease! Only special turbo golf carts can make it up this hill so be sure to book your carts asap as they sometimes sell out depending on the travel season. The house is on the highest hill Away from the beach but it only took us 5 -8 mins to drive into town. The house was super clean and had everything you need. We felt very protected and secure staying here as Alethia went over all the proper security procedures with us. All rooms have their own keys so be mindful to secure your keys and keep them close to you when offsite. 6rooms and 6+ bathrooms were lovely for our group of 6. All rooms are private and separated from a staircase so you always have privacy to make noise w/o bothering anyone. There’s a great music system here too! The house was so fun that some people didn’t feel the need to even leave. Alethia gave us a thorough tour once we arrived and gave us very IMPORTANT information so pay attention.

The pool had s great temperature! But you must go to the beach and roam the quaint little town to support the locals and experience the amazing Mexican culture!
We ran low on towels but it was easily remedied by sending a request to our host. Be sure to buy or pack extra shampoo/conditioner and body wash/lotion as that was the only thing that wasn’t provided at the house. We didn’t let that ruin our trip and it was not an issue for us to bring our own considering the perfect experience we received in exchange. Pull the trigger and BOOK YOUR SAYULITA VACATION NOW! You will not regret it!!

It was better than what we had imagined. The trip of a lifetime. Sayulita took our hearts. We rented out the entire house. Definitely rent golf carts. It’s a long walk to town without them and the hill is very steep. We went through the company, Sayulita Golf Carts. They were so nice. Gloria cooked tasty dinner for us. She is so friendly and such a great cook. They were the best meals of our trip. Alethia was so attentive with everything. I can’t recommend this house enough.

Our family of four with significant others along with my brother's and sister's families had a wonderful time with Villa Surya as our home base for a week. The space worked well for the 11 of us to gather together for meals, conversation or music while also providing great space to retreat for some quiet time if needed, which can be very helpful for large groups. The views are spectacular from just about anywhere on the property and the common areas had everything we needed including a half bath. Additionally each of the bedrooms have their own bathrooms which was something we all appreciated as well. The home is in the hills and for this family, we absolutely loved the daily walk down as well as the walk up. It's not the easiest walk as It is a hilly and sometimes steep walk up and down but that is truly one of the reasons it made it so memorable. Those walks up and down were when we got to chit chat, see the local community and people and get the benefit of varying views and ways winding to town. A cold drink and the pacific ocean were great rewards after the walk down as was a dip in the pool after the walk up. Plenty of golf carts seemed available but we were determined to make those amazing daily excursions up and down part of our wonderful experience. We hung out, took turns cooking, had one grand meal cooked for us by Gloria which was so special and delicious! This trip we just came back from took quite a bit of planning and coordinating of course; I can't overstate how incredibly helpful, informative, warm, friendly and available the property manager Aléthia was from the time I first messaged her many months before our trip as we narrowed down our choices, to the day of our check out. Sometimes things come up and when you have someone as caring, knowledgable and helpful as Aléthia available for any concerns, it can make all the difference! Overall I would have to say that Villa Surya is a wonderful home to gather together with friends or family and then venture out from and explore beautiful Sayulita.

My friends and I had a great time staying at Villa Surya! The house and the views from the home are truly beautiful! Alethia, who managed the property during our stay, was extremely nice and attentive. She helped us arrange transportation to the airport and was readily available for any questions we had during our stay. If you decide to stay here, definitely rent a golf cart (we rented ours from Sayulita Golf Carts, and they were great). For anyone looking for a great weekend with their friends, I highly recommend Villa Surya!

The house was perfect and had a great vibe, unfortunately, we can't control the weather and we were hit by a hurricane and had to cut the trip short. Management was very attentive and hopefully, we can come back again soon!
