Casa Catrina

Our stay at Catrina was wonderful. The place was clean, perfect location, and had loads of help from Carolyn and her family. Would recommend for any group heading to Sayulita.

Beautiful house and location. Quiet end of the beach, but not too far up the hill. Very spacious and private. Gorgeous pool and family friendly. Excellent resources and concierge service. We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back.

Sayulita was a gem of place. laid back, beautiful vistas and adventure all in one. Casa Catrina was luxurious respite from the adventure. with beautifully appointed rooms and open air living area over looking the pool, this is what a vacation should be. great house, everything is taken care of.

My girlfriends and I stayed in Casa Catrina for our girls trip. The house was perfect and we all had our own space! It was private, luxurious, clean, comfortable and everyone on the property was so kind and genuine. Grace did an amazing job coordinating meals, transportation, restaurant recommendations and so much more. Highly recommend staying at Casa Catrina, we will be back!!

This house was perfect for our Christmas week with my parents, 2 sisters and their partners (all aged 49 to 78) and one active teenager. The location is ideal as it is outside of the hustle (and noise) of town but with beach access just a short walk down the path and across the road. The beach was clean and much less hectic than the beach downtown and had perfect waves for wading and body surfing and great views of the sunset. Everything was clean and in good condition and the three rooms on the "upper deck" had amazing views. Between that area, the outside living room, pool deck and dining table, we had enough options for individual "down time" without having to leave the property (and strong WiFi was a plus as well!). Highly marks for the property manager (Grace) who did an amazing job helping arrange for transport to/from PVR, two delicious catered dinners, a day on the water (whale watching, fishing and swimming), and (much needed) golf carts to get around town.

My family of 4 plus another family of 4 stayed at Casa Catrina and we all loved it! Plenty of space for us 8 to spread out. The property is beautiful and private. Close enough to town with out being right in the noisy mix of all the restaurants and bars. The staff was very helpful in stalking the fridge with all the items we needed and cleaning was exceptional! Photos do not do this property justice!

We are a group of 9 friends who travel together every year and this property is absolutely the sweet spot of privacy and accessibility. Plenty of room for everyone, clean, beautiful, and the very best location. Loved the proximity to town and beach, while feeling totally secluded while enjoying the pool. We easily coordinated grocery and golf cart deliveries as well as airport transfers with the house staff beforehand and enjoyed every minute of our time in Sayulita. We look forward to visiting again!

My family and I spent a week in this beautiful home and we couldn't be happier with our stay. The house is gorgeous, the grounds are lush, the location is perfect and the view and sunsets from the pool are IG worthy. The house is well equipped, impeccably maintained, exceptionally clean and the service was just as impressive. This home away from home is the prefect getaway. I highly recommend Casa Catrina!

Our travel group consisted of 4 adults and 3 teenagers. Casa Catrina was the PERFECT set up for us! With 5 bedrooms, plus their own adjoining bathrooms, the layout allowed everyone to have their own space to retreat to. The pool was beautiful and refreshing. The location of the house was, in our opinion, the best in the area. Located on the quiet north side, surrounded by trees - it was so private and felt like we were living in a tropical jungle. Yet it was only a quick trek into town. We were thrilled to discover that the beach was just a short trail walk away! The staff was absolutely wonderful and exceptionally helpful both before and during our stay.

We can't wait to visit again!

We stayed here for 17 days in June 2020 and it was amazing. We are 3 teenage girls, 2 parents, Grandma and our little dog. My daughter and I have been visiting Sayulita every year since our first trip in 2006 - so we've stayed in a lot of different places. This was the first time I've traveled with such a large group (during a pandemic no less). My original plan had been to rent a 3 bedroom and cram the teens into one room - I am so glad I did not end up doing that or else I'm not sure this would have been a successful trip. The girls easily walked to town and back as needed. We adults opted for a golfcart which is so much fun and pretty much required for evening outings. The pool is beautiful and warm and clean. My husband and I both agreed we've never slept in such a large, comfortable bed. The linens were amazing. The kitchen is fully stocked and spotless. The wi-fi router is in the kitchen so it reaches the patio area, lower bedrooms and the master bedroom directly above it which worked for us. We put grandma and 1 teen in the lower bedrooms. My husband and I took the largest upper bedroom and the 2 teens took the remaining upper bedrooms. Perfect. The best thing about Catrina is the staff. Marcos and his wife (gardener), Luz (housecleaner) and MOST OF ALL Mel and her adorable baby made this trip amazing for us. I didn't once contemplate abandoning one of the teens in Mexico - and that was probably because Catrina gave us the space we all need (especially me) during vacation. Tips - my husband got a massage while we all got pedicures (and a few much needed haircuts!) from Bliss salon, we had Marcos's wife cook dinner for us several times, ordered a massive seafood dinner delivered from Don Pedros, we did a "free" tequila tasting at the house and our driver (Jose Ramos) stopped at the Mega so that we could fully stock the house with food and drink. (3 lazy teens eat ALOT and it felt like a constantly losing battle to stock enough snacks to keep them happy). I booked all of these services and activities directly with the businesses on Sayulitalife.com My #1 tip? Stop thinking about it and just do it! This property is amazing. You need to get away.
